Took a friend for a prosecco afternoon tea for her birthday. The service was fantastic from start to finish. From

the booking over the phone to the service at the table. Very organised and did not have to wait long for drinks or afternoon tea. I’m a little fussy and was offered alternative sandwiches. Offered many drink options and attended to regularly by waitress who checked on how we were and offered ice water. Loved the atmosphere, interior and the view. Best afternoon tea I have had. Highly recommend.

User

Nothing was too much trouble, Olivia is a lovely hostess who waited on us hand and foot, atmosphere and music was very good! Would visit again x

User

Level8skybar in the Hilton bournemouth is brilliant, the seating was very comfy, the room light and airy and very very clean. we were served High Tea by a very nice younge lady, the tea consisted of 3 sandwiches each, 1 fruit and 1 plain scone each, with jam and cream, and 4 little cakes each. We also has proccesso and a pot of tea. It was well presented in a wooden different see threw box, We were asked several times if were ok and was there anything more we wanted, well worth a visit and very good value for money

User

I love this place, friendly polite and patient staff (I always ponder far too long over the cocktail list). Just what Bournemouth had needed.

User

Had a great afternoon for tea/ prosecco. Service was great and attentive. Must say was nearly put off, from reading reviews. Glad decided to make our own opinion. Would highly recommend.

User

Came here last night to celebrate my birthday. Fab music and cocktails. Perfect venue for a special occasion. We loved it!

User

Afternoon tea with bottomless prosecco...had my doubts originally, given you are allowed only 75 mins, but we managed to get through several glasses! Sandwiches and cakes were also good! Staff were amazingly friendly and did a great job putting up with us!!

User

Great tunes from Jay but big let down on the lack of non-alcoholic drinks - some lager, wine and seedlip mocktail options would be very welcome but the bar staff accommodated making me a fake expresso martini !

User

Was led to believe it was a high class cocktail bar with dress code. Turns out it is just a very expensive club where you can wear what you want, the drinks are extortionate and small and the music was so loud I couldn’t hear myself think. Real shame as Bournemouth could use a high class place to go for drinks.

User

Olivia the hostess met us at the door and was very friendly and accommodating. There was enough staff to serve but service was a bit slow. There was sweet popcorn offered as bar snack. It would be nice if there was some bar snacks if not at least something savoury.

User

Myself and two friends visited yesterday for the bottomless RnB afternoon tea - the service was great and our waitress made sure we were topped up with prosecco the whole time we were there. The food was good but unfortunately the music wasn’t great at all. It was all really really old school RnB and nothing you could really all sing along to and enjoy which was a shame and really let the whole experience down.

Had the music been better this rating would have been a lot higher.

User

Visited on Saturday night with friends, was expecting it to be busy but not nearly enough staff ( not their fault ) and the queue was 5 deep at the bar. On eventually being served we ordered a selection of cocktails and a gin and tonic, thought I might have been offered a choice of gins (all other bars in Bournemouth do) but apparently not. For something that it supposed to be the Creme de la Creme of the town I come away disappointed.

User

Had booked the new festive menu weeks before it was officially announced. Unfortunately there were some elements we didn't like. When asked if we could change a sandwich we were told not wasn't possible as they were already made. It was mentioned several times by staff which made our party feel very uncomfortable. Food was ok. In my view not worth the money and the 12.5% service charge. Won't be returning.

User

Cocktails not great, rather watery and expensive, music too loud to hear the person I was with, and not really appropriate for a place like that anyway. Wrong ambiance totally. Very little chance I’ll be back.

User

A friend & I were visiting for the weekend & were looking forward to visiting the SkyBar. As we both work in London, we were prepared for the high prices but even we were surprised at how top heavy the prices were.

We asked if there were any snacks & were told no, the hotel didn’t order them. No alternative suggested. There were plenty of people having afternoon tea so surely someone could’ve offered to get some sandwiches made.......no.

I liked the venue but there was just something lacking. We weren’t made to feel special or that our needs were of any importance. & reading some of the reviews, guests needs aren’t at the top of the priority list as nothing has changed.

Doubt we’ll be back nor recommending any of our friends to give it a go. Which is a real shame as it’s in a great location & could be great.

You need to shape up Hilton !!

User

Tonight we were greeted by a lovely lady on the door that found us a table. Lots of staff on hand to help and be waited on. At first I actually commented on how much the service has improved compared to previous visits. We were asked a few times if we were ready to order. We ordered cocktails off the new menu which we were told was launched tonight, amazing as usual but way over the normal price. No bill was presented and when questioning the card payment receipt we were told there is a 12.5% service charge. No one was told this at any point during our time, at reception or on ordering that this new service charge was in place. We are regulars to the sky bar and found it rather rude when we were told “it’s stated on the menu” you’d need a bloody telescope to read the small print about the charge. Very disappointing.

User

Lovely place but I stood at the bar for 15 minutes and gave up walked back to lift and went to another bar , 2 bar staff trying to keep up with wave after wave of new people arriving in the lift

User

I bought an offer for the cheese and charcuterie board which said i could book from the 19/7 and rang up to book only to be told we are not taking bookings till the 26th i told them i had it in black and white in front pf me and the response was "we may have pushed it back"! i like to be warned in advance if you are going to change the terms! So we turn up on the 26th Maitre d offers to show us to our table but without actually telling us which one decides to start to clear another,i have to ask which is ours got the impression we were troubling him.We sit down and are told immediately that our food is ready? would we like drinks first..yes i answer but after 10 minutes they bring the food and still no drinks, amazing since we have already been asked 5 times if everything is ok! The board is missing several items parma ham,cracker/biscuits etc.We go to sit outside and the place looks like it is in need of a good clean.Dirty paintwork, dirty decking scruffy furniture and signs of damage.I go to pay the bill and the first person asks me for a purple card....? i don't have pne so she directs me to the bar where they try to charge me for the food i had pre paid for even though i told them this and has to get a manager to sort it out.I honestly could not believe the state of dress of some of the customers as they had security and a front desk to enforce a dress code...flip flops etc.. Its a wanna be place that is massively overpriced 720gbp for a 120gbp bottle of whisky obviously geared up to people that spend money like water and my 3 beers and a cocktail just didn't cut it.Poor standards, poor atmosphere, generally just poor!

User

Aweful place we awaited 45 minutes for our drinks furthermore requested our favourite Gin on the shelf on sale but not enough to make a full drink.. Staff pporly aknowledged the error and issue. Don't book a table you are better off ordering at the bar...
