About Lewis-Manning Hospice:

- Lewis-Manning Hospice supports local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
- We promote acceptance, hope and peace of mind in a safe and calming environment.
- We know that when someone develops cancer or another life-limiting illness their life is changed dramatically.
- We aim to ensure that local people are given access to the support they may need to help them cope with their illness and the changes it may bring.

Our Services:

We have four core services run by a team of specialist palliative care nurses, they are:

• End of Life Care - in our 12 bedded inpatient unit
• Day Hospice – including physiotherapy, creative arts, aromatherapy and other holistic treatments
• Lymphoedema Clinic
• Breathlessness Clinic


Funding:

All of the services offered at Lewis-Manning Hospice are free to patients and their carers. We unburden patients from the financial stress of this care but that does mean we need to turn to the community to support us with voluntary donations. The NHS funds only a third of the care we provide. This means that we have to find the money for the care of 2 out of every 3 patients.
