When starting a new health kick or regime, the majority of people will be guilty of the above approach π€π»
Of course you will get results, temporarily, but the problem with this approach is, itβs unsustainable, you will sicken yourself and soon loose interest, you become hungry and begin over indulging π¬
But most of all..
You have no real control of whatβs happening, nothings measured or tracked, your uneducated and have no idea what is getting you the results π

Xmas Hacks π
Oioi.. December is just 2 days away π²
Which means most diets and training routines go right out the window and βF*CK IT, ITS CHRISTMASβ becomes the most used phrase in everyoneβs vocabulary π
... From December the 1st it becomes acceptable to have Ferrero Rochers and Prosecco for breakfast and pigs in blankets for dinner π
Whoβs complaining π€·π»ββοΈ
So hereβs some Xmas Hacks which may help prevent you putting too much Xmas fluff on or atleast retain some resemblance of your summer body ππ»
No 5 is probably the most appropriate or will be best received Iβm sure π
All jokes aside, use these to minimise weight gain over Xmas, continue to train hard throughout December, but dont worry about a few extra lbs, you will be reset and ready to go in January πͺπ»

Training should be tracked on a daily basis in order to achieve proper results and get the body you so desire ππ»

These should all be increased over time - this is called PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD and once this approach is mastered, the results will come thick and fast π€π»
This all starts by tracking your sessions and I believe there is no better way then using a good old pen and paper π

RING ANY BELLS π ?
βBut I went out on Saturday with friends, had pizza, 6 beers and desert, Iβve f*cked my diet and all my hard work, I give up β π
This negative mindset is one of the most common responses I come across with regards to clients nutrition and probably the biggest cause and effect of not achieving results.
... But wait π€π»
This shouldnβt be the case π€
Those tasty foods are just CALORIES, you havenβt ruined all your hard work ππ»
So donβt throw your toys out the pram πΆπ»
The answer and response is quite simple.. take action before and after and minimise impact on results , if any π
Think of it like this, you have a daily calorie target i.e 2000kcal per day, this also converts to a weekly calorie target, see below.
2000kcal x 7 days = 14000kcals (weekly)
Can you see where Iβm going with this?
That one day you lost your head π€― and ate double your daily calorie target, your still within your weekly target.
Making sense? π
It just means sucking it up, planning your meals in advance and eating a little less for a couple of days π
Now hang on, this is where it stops, there is no monthly target, this would be taking the p*ss π
P.S the photos show my very own myfitness pal for the last week, which included dominos π , Krispy Kreme donuts π© and coors light πΊ on Saturday.

Reverse V Squat πͺπ»
Small clip from yesterdayβs Hamstring/Glute focused leg workout ποΈββοΈ
In my opinion for overall leg development there is no better exercise than a standard barbell back squat, although to target particular areas, work around injuries or used in conjunction with bar squats, machines can be very beneficial ππ»
... This v squat machine is a great way of eliminating pressure and stress on the posterior chain (back) and can be used in various ways π
Used in a reverse position facing the back support with a wide foot position really targets glutes and hamstrings as shown in the video ππ»
Alternatively in the opposite position with your back against the support, adopting a low and narrow foot position is a more quad focused position π
Legs can be a stubborn body part to develop therefore In order to stimulate growth, ensure you experiment with multiple foot positions, ranges of movement, rep ranges and of course go hard and heavy but ensure good form at all times ππ»
