The Channel 4 series Grand Designs: House of the Year begins soon with with episode one on Wednesday 7th November 9pm. Our Makers House will feature in the episode to be broadcast Wednesday 28th November 9pm, on Channel 4.

As we move into the next half of 2018, here's a little 'get to know us' feature on our founding directors, Sophie and David.
Q: Do you have a favourite building? 🏢
Sophie: This changes all the time but the baroque cathedral of Noto in Sciliy is hard to beat.... David: The Basilica of Maxentius in Roman Forum
Q: What's your preferred cuisine? 🍴
Sophie: I've really been enjoying a vegetable-based diet inspired by Anna Jones, @we_are_food but I could never give up sushi. David: Anything freshly-caught, served within sight of the sea.
Q: What are you reading/listening to? 📚
Sophie: Whenever it starts to get warm I'm can't help listening to Keith Jarrett David: Jean-Jacques Rousseau "The Social Contract" // Moritz Von Oswald Trio "Vertical Ascent".
Q: Current architecture practice you admire? 🏡
Sophie: I really enjoy the playful inventiveness of Amin Taha. David: Studio Mumbai

Article on new White City art space by Liddicoat & Goldhill for Elephant Magazine and Colart...

The game of scale and mass for our Elephant West project came from the other Elephant House in London, which was built by Hugh Casson in the 60s. Obviously it only has a loose programmatic connection to our proposal but it is a building that plays with notions of solidity and enclosure. We’re so excited that our new build pop up project space, Elephant West for @elephantmagazine starts on site next week. It’s situated in White City on the former petrol station site on Wood Lane.
