Life Wsm Description

“Life” is the name of Weston’s award winning independent Bible bookshop, it is based at 13 The Centre
Here at “Life” we aim to be more than a book shop. Yes we sell books, cards, CD's, DVD's and gifts, as well as daily Bible reading notes etc. But this is not our sole purpose.
The Bible is always open in the window and another in the shop where anyone can read the scripture of the day.
Life is a place in town where Christians and non Christians can meet each other over a cup of tea or coffee for prayer, study groups or discussion.
Life provides a haven where people involved in the many and varied activities which make up church life can find encouragement and build one another up.
We want people to be able to meet one another and share their ideas, dreams and visions for their area, town and life, on common ground; because we believe that everyone has something to offer in the body of Christ. If we can get together on any and all levels and share what works and what doesn’t, encouraging each other, just imagine what could happen in our churches, our town, our nation…
During the day at Life we set aside a specific times for prayer and Bible reading in the early morning, so that people who work in town or are just passing at this time can join with others to pause and spend a few moments re-focusing their mind on the Lord.
Life aims to be a welcoming place for Christians and non Christians alike to meet for book clubs, study or just a place to find a friendly face and listening ear. We also have some toys and activities always available for children so that accompanying parents and carers can shop or just sit with a cup of tea or coffee for a while.
We also invite local churches and Christian charities etc to give details of where and when they meet, activities and event information are displayed in the coffee area or the window and often on Face book.
We are very grateful to all those who have been, and are, helping and encouraging us in this vision.
