Life you choose is a Community Interest Company. . .

What is a Community Interest Company?

The Community Interest Company (“CIC”) is the type of company which is required to use its profits and assets for the benefit of the community rather than for private gain. It has all the flexibility and certainty of the company form with some additional features to ensure that it works for the benefit of the community or the wider public.


Life you choose aims to build a 'not for profit' organisation with a membership for people with multiple learning disabilities, an organisation that will provide a professional structure to support initiative using a person centred approach. Life you choose aims to create an environment where its members achieve their aspirations and learn new and exciting vocational skills.

PROJECTS are initiated and decided upon via a rotation of ideas from individuals who then lead a team to reach a significant goal.

Our current project is making a film.

The Return is a psychological thriller, set in and around Glossopdale, the film follows a film crew who come to Glossop to make a documentary, on their arrival they discover that there is something strange about this sleepy little town. . . are there ghosts? parallel dimensions? or is it all a hoax?

The films psychological angle draws you in, whilst building the suspense, and feeding you information to keep your mind racing and questioning what is going on.

Our first project was a becoming 'Puppeteers

We performed a puppet show at this years ‘Bankswood Inspire Festival’ We are also performing at this years, Christmas lights turn on, and aim to perform at more community events in the future.
