Light Up

Light UP boosts young people's confidence through welcoming, five-star, value for money, drama classes and workshops. We run over 50 hours of classes a week, supporting young people to shine!

What We Do

We support 4-19 year olds to shine on and off stage through our four kinds of groups; Light UP Class, Light UP Company, Light UP Advanced and Light UP Ensemble, as well as through Parties, Workshops and Drama Inset Days.

Who We Are

We are a hard-working team of theatre professionals, teachers and assistant teachers, led by Director Rosanna Sloan and Youth Theatre Manager Courtney Fayle. Light UP is the education side of professional theatre company Unexpected Places. We are a lively team who love our jobs encouraging children to Light UP the stage! Our teachers are a friendly face each week for our students, as they build up their confidence and self-esteem in our Light UP classes. For those looking for inventive performance opportunities and further challenges to improve their acting skills, our teachers are hugely invested in supporting their students to shine in our Light UP Companies and Light UP Advanced sessions. Light UP is a not-for-profit organisation who invest their funds in their students, not in their pockets.
