Our collection boasts over 700 wines and more than 120 single malts plus spirits and liqueurs, and we can also deliver to anywhere you are!

Lightfoot’s Wine Line, established in 1989, initially provided wines at reasonable prices by the case to private customers.

In 2001 the shop, which is on the Main Street in Wentworth, Rotherham was opened. Being established over many years the shop has approximately 700 different products on display. These products include wines from a dozen or more different countries, plus local beers from the Wentworth Brewery and a selection of over 40 different Malt Whiskey’s, as well as an assortment of various liqueurs and spirits which are all competitively Owned by Derek Lightfoot, who has a specialist knowledge of his stock, Lightfoot’s shop is the place to browse for a great quality wine at an affordable price.

When visiting Lightfoot’s, not only do you get a delightful browsing experience, but you also get a warm and friendly welcome from Derek himself, as well as an expert knowledge of the wine(s) you choose. If you do not know that much about wine, or you are simply just buying a present for someone else, tell Derek what yours (or your friend’s) tastes are and he will find the perfect match for you!

Upon visiting the shop, why not book a private tutored wine tasting with Derek? Tastings are available in your own home for only £10 per person and can be themed to your liking. These are subject to a minimum of twelve people attending, or a minimum charge of £120.

Lightfoot’s has now also teamed up with The George & Dragon public house to offer exclusive wine tastings which include a two course meal. The meal includes a main and a delicious cheeseboard along with samples of twelve different wines at the incredible price of only £24. 95p inclusive. During the tastings, wines from at least five different countries are sampled ranging from dry whites to full bodied reds. These tasting are held on the first friday of each month in The George & Dragon public house, Main Street, Wentworth and can be booked by contacting Derek Lightfoot: Owner and Proprietor, on one of the numbers below.
