Jonathan Agnew has been all over social media recently, after reading out a letter from a fan who credited Test Match Special for making his father's last few days more comfortable.
An institution and a gentleman with a passion for cricket and great broadcasting, Aggers comes to the Lighthouse in October and we are honoured to host him.

Who's coming to see Derek Acorah do his thing in September?

Rich Hall's Hoedown begins as a withering dissection of Trump’s America, but ends up being a celebration of Americana. There’s stand-up, improvised ballads, cracking good musicianship, and ultimately a hilarious, foot-stomping, good time to be had by all. Even if you don’t own a hoe.

‘The World’s Most Outrageous Comedian’ is far too rude for TV, so a live performance is the only place to catch the him!

13th October: Roy “Chubby” Brown – Live
He’s still rude, he’s still crude and this time he’s turning headlines into punch lines as his rip-roaring brand of banter continues to burst bellies across the country. ‘The World’s Most Outrageous Comedian’ is far too rude for TV, so this live performance is the only place to catch the flamboyant comedian!

Wow just left the theatre after watching Snow White. What an amazing panto guys. My family & I (all 11 of us) had an amazing time. We have been to many over the years but this is our 1st time at the lighthouse. Best by far!! The actors really made the performance so entertaining & so relevant to all. You could certainly tell twist & pulse looked after choreography!! Amazing!! Can't wait until next year thank you all & boy can Matt sing. Xx

User

Myself and my husband took our autistic son to the 5.30 performance on 28th December. First time since he was a baby apart from school. Our son absolutely loved it. He loved how Matt came into audience and soaked pulse and twist sitting next to us. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the cast for making a family outing enjoyable with no meltdowns.

Just wanted to say 'well done' to everyone involved in the KOS production of All Shook Up. We enjoyed every minute of the first night. The costumes, the choreography, the music and the comedy all came together to create a brilliant evening with the added bonus of supporting Cancer Research Uk.

User

I love this theatre just on the doorstep, we are so lucky to have such a lovely theatre hear. I have enjoyed many shows here and the ballet ones are always really fantastic. The Nutcracker ballet was a little disappointing on the 1st half as could not really hear the ballet so somewhat spoilt my enjoyment because loud noise distractions.

The staff have always been very friendly and organised. Will be attending many more shows in the future. The volunteers and other staff work hard to make an enjoyable evening for all.

Thank you.

User

Another fab panto!! We thought last year’s was amazing but this year’s was just as great! Three generations of family coming out with smiles on our faces - perfect! Massive well done to everyone and thank you x

User

Went to the George Michael Tribute show last Friday and it was fab. Took a lovely trip down memory lane. The only thing that marred it was a very small minority behind us in the upper circle who's behaviour was pretty disgraceful. Everyone was there to have a great time but this minority seemed to think it was OK to let everyone in the circle know they were having a good time. Some ladies next to us moved seats at the interval after having a drink spilled down her back, other people in the circle kept asking them to calm down a bit and 20 minutes before the end, I couldn't take any more after politely asking them to stop talking whilst the tribute artist was talking about George, and moved and stood with a lovely volunteer for the remainder of the show. If any of the minority are reading this, I hope you're happy that you had a good time at the expense of other peoples enjoyment which was plain selfish and rude. The management did know about them and personally I believe they should have ejected them from the building at the interval. Maybe a couple of security guards on the premises during the show wouldn't be a bad idea if the staff are scared of any trouble. Management were great with us about it and have offered us some tickets for another show which me and my friends thought was a lovely gesture. Will be coming back again though, lovely little venue.
