All in all, not a bad day out if your kids get in for free. Plenty for toddlers to do as well, my daughter is 20 months old and had a great time.

We went on what should have been Storm Bryan day. I tried to contact them to find out what would or wouldn't be running. No reply came. However on the day we and our 7 year old had a great day out. No queues and great staff. We would return.

Great for everyone. Not got the huge thrill seeker rides but our group ranges from toddlers to older people, so it's great as doesn't usually have large waiting times.
We've had annual passes for the last two years and there great value.
Always online promotional codes available if you look to go in advance.

I've been countless of times, ever since I was a kid and always enjoy it! I know exactly how to plan out the time for the day and what to go on. The only complaint is the overpriced small portions of food you receive... Your better off packing yourself a lunchbox for the day!

After finding a voucher code and reducing the entry cost considerably. I took my family consisting of 4 children (1,6,8 and 10).

We got there as it was opening, which was well recommended, as parking was easy and no queues at the ticket office. The main rides were not open yet but smaller ones were great to pass the time.

The theme park is great for young children specially 16 and under, there is plenty of rides for very young and a few for adults, I enjoyed it!

There's reviews of people complaining how spread out it is, I think this is great as there is ample space for picnics and grass freshly cut! Plenty of benches dotted all way round. Also toilets dotted around, complaints about conditions, but I think these were fine considering the thousands of people using them!

Longest queue we stood in took 10 mins and all others more or less no queue, we sat on rides twice.

Never expected to be there from opening to close, but the daily flying shows at the falconry centre was awesome and well recommended.

End the day at the Angry Birds activity centre and kids loved the whole day. I would recommend families with young children!

Not exactly Alton Towers but also not the same price either. We live in Leeds so opted to take our 7 year old to a local theme park as a reward for getting a good school report.
Lightwater Valley is definitely family fun. It is very dated though and could possibly son with a bit of an update. Trauma tower looked like it was on its last legs and the speaker was broken in the tractor on the eagle farm tractor ride. The conservatory dining area was pretty grim and the tables were covered in ketchup, I imagine this was more to do with the masses of teenagers that just seemed to be hanging around. My son was too small to go on the ultimate but were looking forward to going on raptor attack. Sadly this ride was closed for maintenance when we got there. The highlight of the day was definitely the Birds of Prey centre, the Birds were beautiful!
I'd say in total we spent about 3 hours there.

Needs more ladies loos, not just here but everywhere, you never see a queue outside the gents! The ultimate needs warning notices, this ride should be called 'the bone rattler' and don't expect to escape uninjured. We all had bruises and neck/back pain the next day. The quick, violent , constant body jolts are extremely severe. I'd hate to think what could happen to someone who might be unfortunate enough to lose consciousness whilst on this ride! I would like to applaud the young lads operating this ride for throwing the queue jumpers off. At 40 + minute wait, queue jumping is not acceptable, well done lads 👍 All in all a good day out, just beware of the ultimate!

Not too big, so you can easily do it in a day. Queues weren't too big either on Friday .

Still some bigger rides like the ultimate and black Pearl for my 12 year old to grow into. I didn't push him as Ultimate is a right bone shaker, unnecessarily so. (you can get a thrill without being shaken to bits elsewhere . That's not really fun here)

Loved the water slide without getting wet (tho I did see one lady get really wet on slide 3). Surprise hit with my 10 year old were the skatekarts.

Still lots of stuff in there you have to pay extra for, which is a shame for the parents.

Good day out for the family. Lacks the range of rides that somewhere like Alton towers has but there are some good ones for all ages. Queues reasonable length and pricing fair if booked in advance.

Great when you can get the £15 tickets. I really like how the park is organised: big fast rides are always situated near the smaller ones. This makes visiting with a variety of aged children easy as they are never hanging around waiting.

A great theme park for midrange kids and families. A nice blend of rides and attractions with some thrill rides for the older kids. I particularly loved the long roller coaster with its magnificent views over North Yorkshire. Only one down side was the only cash machine in sight charged for its services which was annoying when the food places didn't take cards.

The Angry Birds themed area is far superior to that of Thorpe Park.

Took our six year old. Good price and a good day out. Had enough to keep us all entertained. Accidentally took him on the Raptor Attack, am experience that will live with him for a long time :)
