Had a lovely visit from Floozy the Tibetan Terrier today, a pleasure to do and she even tried to doze off while being dried, such a diva <3

The Daffodils aren't the only ones getting confused between Winter and Spring ;) Lucy thought that February in the snowy weather is the perfect time to moult. Hopefully her owners hoover won't have to work so hard now :)

A selection of visitors to the salon in 2019 so far. So nice to build a rapport with my regular dogs, so much so that the dogs are starting to hop up on the table themselves as they know the routine now ;)

Pic taken of Effie before bathing and finishing touches but this is all the dead hair I removed by hand stripping. This helps to keep the colour nice and dark with a smooth texture and avoid the fuzzy ginger bits.

Starr came in this morning for his regular bath, de-shed and tidy. The dryer didn't faze him at all today, such a difference to 6 months ago!

A busy morning in the salon today with a visit from Indi, Eddie and Kishma who came in for a pre-show bath and groom. Hope you all stay clean till Saturday and good luck x

Another new visitor to the salon this morning, this is Tarka the Parson Russell who believe it or not is 13 years old! She came in for a bath and trim. (Patch on side is an existing hotspot)

A new visitor to the salon this afternoon, meet Harry who came in for a bath and full clip off. Such a good boy to do and even obliged by standing in the same position for his before and after photos!

Ozzie & Alfie came in for their regular trims today. Wonder how long they will stay clean for ;)

First time groom for Reggie the Cocker Spaniel. He's still a puppy but behaved like a little angel to let me handstrip and trim him. Oh, and my ears and face are cleaned to Reggie's liking now too ;) <3

Another new visitor today, a big welcome to Maddie the Labrador. Her first ever groom and she took everything in her stride, such a sweet girl <3

Another new visitor to the salon this morning, welcome to Teddy the Miniature Schnauzer. He was very well behaved and now looks smart and dapper again. Hope to see you again soon :)

The lovely Daisy came to visit for the first time today for a bath and blow dry. As she's a bit nervous of visiting the groomers we took things nice and slow with lots of treats to try and win her trust. Hopefully try a little trim next time <3

A busy week ahead planned for me, looking forward to meeting 4 new dogs this week along with quite a few regulars. Just Wednesday 9.30am appointment available due to cancelation.

Today I took my German Shepherd to be groomed by Helen and she was fantastic with him. I had had a previous unfortunate experience with another groomer and both Jenga and I were nervous. Helen is very professional and knowledgeable and has a great set up at Lilac Cottage. She allayed my fears immediately and now I have a smart looking, smell-free dog and will not hestitate to go back. Thank you Helen.

This was Merlin's first ever trip to the groomers so I was a bit nervous: I needn't have worried! The pick up/drop off service was a godsend on a busy day and Merlin came home super sleek and perhaps more importantly - super chilled! Helen worked brilliantly with Merlin and has a stress-free approach to any situation thanks to her extensive experience in dog training and behaviour. Highly reccomended!

I took Tucker the Springer Spaniel in for a full clip today and was thoroughly impressed by Helens set up at Lilac Cottage Dog Grooming. She was nice and friendly and put Tucker at ease straight away. She has a beautiful kitted out dog grooming salon complete with a lovely huge bath/shower for the pooches and electric table for the dogs to be clipped on so great for elderly dogs that can't jump up.
