Winner of the first Lily Fisheries quarterly members photo competition is Ben Hewish with his capture of the Black Leather from The Lavers.
Not an easy decision to make as there was a shortlist of a dozen or so with the quality of the photos being outstanding. Ben just edged it and will receive a giant 120cm x 80cm canvas print as his prize.
Next competiton is now open to members for captures from Lily Fisheries waters between 1st August and 31st October. Entries must be reported to us within 72 hours of capture. Good luck and well done Ben.

Morning.. as you are probably aware Lords is being used for irrigation due to the extreme weather. Please do not drive over the pipe on the track.. just turn round and exit the way you came in. The farm have stated they will deny us access to drive round the lake if the pipe gets damaged. Will keep you posted.. thanks for your cooperation.
Note to self.. don't take the dog when dyeing the lake!!
Billy Wright has got off the mark in fine style on The Lavers with mirrors of 25lb and 37lb. The 25 pounder is this classic looking big plated mirror which is yet another Lavers carp that was actually born in the lake and come through the ranks.
Due to the extreme weather Lords Ground and possibly Hasse Fen will be used for emergency irrigation during the night. We've only recently been informed by the farm but will keep you up to date with the situation as soon as we can. Thanks Chris - Lily Fisheries
