What an absolutely fabulous hotel. We have been made to feel like royalty and the staff are quite exceptional. Beautiful surroundings, the most comfortable suite and the food is sublime. Can’t recommend it enough.

We recently stayed for a birthday celebration...checked out but just had to stay one night longer so checked back in! The bar staff were exceptionally good, any cocktail or combination was made to perfection. All staff members really made an effort to make you feel welcome. The Spa was also the perfect place to sit back and relax :D.

Utterly stunning! Came for lunch and drinks and couldn’t have been more perfect! Food, service and all the staff treat you like royalty. Absolutely superb grounds and loved every minute!

Took our daughter to Limewood this week for lunch to celebrate her 18th birthday and it was a delightful experience. They made her feel special and even gave her a birthday desert. The service was excellent and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you �

The attention to detail at this hotel is second to none. It’s a luxury hotel but you feel like you are staying at someone’s home - fantastic combination.

I would like to make a special mention of Jane who I believe is one of the managers. We were going horse riding at Burley Villas which is approx 25 minutes from Linewood and asked her if there was anywhere suitable nearby for lunch. It would have been very easy for her to have said ‘No come back to Limewood for lunch’. But she didn’t she recommended a great little cafe at Barton on Sea - we didn’t even know there was a coast line near the new forest. The weather was great as was the cafe and it finished the 2 night break for my birthday in the new forest (one night at The Pig and one night at Limewood) off perfectly. We saw Jane at Barton on Sea so were able to thank her personally but she is a huge asset to your team and a lovely lady. The food at Limewood was exceptional - we will definitely be back!

My first visit today for afternoon tea with a friend - thanks to other friends who gave me it as a birthday present. It was a truly scrummy tea in beautiful surroundings. The staff were lovely, friendly and attentive. I wish I'd got some names so that you could give them a pat on the back. Your staff training must be excellent. We also got a full breakdown of lunches etc. available from one of them and rest assured I shall be back.

I would like to say a massive thank you from myself and my partner For wonderful cream tea you supplied for Harwood House care home, Our Mum is there and as treats we would take her out for cream teas in the summer So it was so special for her to have it come to her ...... When she’s feeling a bit better and the weather is good we will bring her to limewood for a cream tea

I love Limewood, it,s my favourite Hotel/Restaurant in Hampshire; from the moment we arrived until we departed the hospitality, customer service and friendliness of all the staff was exceptional - especially Charlotte- a little gem, who should be treasured! The choice and quality of the food was excellent. The only downside was as it was very hot a few fans near the window seats would have been appreciated, however, we moved seats for our dessert and sat near the back of the Restaurant near the air-conditioning. Keep on doing what you are doing, Ms Hartnett, because it works and we will return again and again- I am local and have recommended the Hotel to many people, all of which say the same it,s absolutely fantastic.

Great service from start to finish and very accommodating with requiring vegan options. Good menu choice, excellent cocktails. Beautiful setting, go for a wander after eating around the grounds

Beautiful lunch in a fabulous setting- warm friendly service too. Had a tour of the spa and gym which both look amazing.

Attended a cookery course, Simply Steak, with the amazingly patient Ian. I cannot speak highly enough of this course. I have been on many and this was the best, from the kitchen, the teaching, the ingredients everything was superb. I will be enrolling on more.

The hotel is beautiful, but I found the signage and navigation around the hotel difficult, the staff although very pleasant not particularly well trained or prepared and the food quite average based on expectations due to the chefs reputation.

The attention to detail in this hotel is fantastic. It’s understated luxury in what feels like a country house /home with very attentive staff. Special mention to Clementine who likes after me in the spa which has to be one of best. Knocked one star off as we felt the restaurant was over-priced. Whilst the food was delicious it was over priced.



Still one of our favourite bolt holes. Two nights here - totally recharged.

Smoked and Uncut is a great small friendly festival. Great music and this year we managed to get lunch tickets to “ The Firkd Kitchen” a tented pop up kitchen ran by “ Holder and Hartnett” Food was great in quality and taste but I must say we were on a table of 12 and it was sharing plates and definitely enough to cover 12. We were having to ask for more each course. For £55 ahead not great value.

I had a wonderful afternoon tea! Sandwiches and cake selection was lovely! Beautiful scenery! Only thing is when I went to pay, I didn’t want to pay the service charge, because in my eyes I think I was paying well over the odds for a sandwich and couple scones and cake was £60 for me and my friend, and when I said I didn’t want to pay it, I found the girls response quite rude!

This won’t stop me going again because I did very much enjoy the experience! Will visit again

After a small delay checking in, the whole experience was extremely good. Whilst many rate the spa and the scenery amongst the highlights, the real star is the food. Menu’s to suit all tastes and exceptional produce create a dining experience second to none. . . .oh the finest Mac and Cheese I’ve ever had !
