We have done so much work this January and it is so nice to see that most of you like the changes ! We love to hear that you miss the old look, so our next project will have something for those of you too 🙂
We have created a speakeasy space to enjoy a glass of wine at any time of the day, with or without a slice of our new homemade cakes, try our new cocktails ( made only with the best local spirits ), give a try to our new funky wine list and more ! So if you are ready to e...mbrace the change, give us a chance to show where we are going with our new concept, always making our guests the priority !
And along with that, we would love to thank Josh Towler & his team for finishing work on time and fitting four gorgeous bathrooms as well as Mark Pritchard , who truly built the best bar ever!

We stayed at the Limestone last weekend and had the most fabulous visit. We chose this hotel because of its location as we were looking for a weekend break with our West Highland Terrier, close to great walks and the sea, but also as a bit of a treat for my husband and I as well. We certainly were not disappointed!



Nothing was too much trouble and it was lovely to stay somewhere where the staff were so friendly and engaging. The service was absolutely brilliant, every staff member was really accommodating and took a real interest in us and our weekend plans and stopped to talk to us even though they were obviously busy.



The food at this hotel is absolutely delicious, very creative and perfectly presented. Would highly recommend it, and we felt it was very reasonably priced too. We even had afternoon tea in the garden on a sunny afternoon, which was absolutely to die for!



Everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we were all made to feel so welcome. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and think that it is exactly what we hoped for and more. Top marks, 10 out of 10!

We have a brilliant room overlooking the hills and fields, sunsets right in front of our room. Dinner was exceptional, steak was divine and so was the sea bream, a brilliant chef. I would give limestone a 10 if it was available.

We had our evening meal here for two nights and both nights were amazing. From the cosy log fire for a pre diner drink to the very professional staff. It was truly five star. I had the fish catch of the day both nights fresh sea bass and fresh plaice both expertly cooked. Compliementry home made bread great goats cheese starter as well as the scollops. Had a lovely french apple tart. Nice wine and all so reasonably priced. Hope we can return soon.

We came here for a special celebration break on route to going away with friends. We have really enjoyed our stay and cannot recommend the food highly enough.......denifatly headand shoulders above the rest in Lulworth and very reasonable compared to what else is on offer locally. Staff here are extremely obliging and helpful and rooms are comfortable and dog friendly......thank you for a birthday/anniversary stay to remember.

To celebrate one year since our wedding at Lulworth Castle we decided on a weekend at The Limestone Hotel. We had a magical time. The hotel is beautiful with stunning scenery, rooms and garden. The staff were exceptional making us feel so welcome.



As food lovers we were very excited about seeing previous reviews and boy we were spoilt rotten :) By far some of the best hotel breakfast & dinners we've ever experienced. Stunning new winter menu executed to the highest standard. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so special.

The best getaway any one can ask for. Food was cooked by a star of a french chef with elegance and taste in abundance. The rooms were cosy yet pristine, housekeeping was thorough. A very memorable anniversary in so many ways. 5 Stars.

Thanks for another wonderful stay! Everything was perfect, we had an amazing time. A special shout out for Stephen who is absolutely awesome and a real gem. Stayed here three days last week. Excellent service, and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Daniel, Jennifer, and Hailey (especially) worked hard to make our large party feel at home. Hope to come back and enjoy the amazing views and some hiking in the future.

Only stayed here the one night , but what a fantastic place , The location is excellent for a visit to the cove & durdle door . The evening meal in restaurant could not have been any better and the breakfast in the morning was no different.all the staff were very nice and always willing to help and advise

From the moment we arrived staff could not do enough to make us feel welcome.

So much detail put into everything; from the indulgent bath products in our room to the handmade breakfast menus .

Our room was exquisite, view from the garden is amazing and food is just incredible!

My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic meal last night. Scallops were stunning, the freshest I've had, and the lobster was divine. Nice of Chef Alain to come to each table for a quick chat as well. An amazing restaurant in a great location.

My partner booked me a surprise weekend away for my birthday on 4 th and 5th June. Wow what a fantastic place, food was out of this world and staff we very polite and professional and always helpfull. I cannot recommend this hotel enough we stayed in the writers room.

Loved this hotel when we went earlier this year & are hopefully revisiting in September.

We love taking our Labrador, Molly away with us & it's a rarity to find such a good quality doggy friendly hotel.

Rooms are lovely & individually designed, tip top on the cleanliness, beautiful views & only a few minutes walk from the breathtaking Lulworth Cove.

Staff very friendly & helpful.

Last but not least, the restaurant & food is absolutely fantastic.

Just a quality place. Lovely atmosphere, really good team of owners and staff and brilliant food all topped off with a wonderful location. Don't take my word for it. It seems from the comments below many of us feel the same way.

I spent 3 days here over the Valentines weekend and could not have asked for a better hotel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as top notch as it could be. The small touches such as handmade chocolates and a pretty flower left in our room for when we returned, as well as a complementary bottle of bubbly to celebrate our engagement were perfect. Loved the fireplace and the little Betrix Potter books for breakfast menus. Not forgetting the fish water jugs in the restaurant. The location could not be any better with just a short walk to Lulworth cove and Durdle door and the setting of the little village is beautiful. The food was absolutely delicious and each course was amazing, just wish I could have tried them all. I could not give this hotel enough praise and will definitely be returning again in the future.

I spent 3 days here in June and had the most wonderful holiday. West Lulworth is an absolutely gorgeous place and staying at Limestone made my holiday perfect. I was delighted with the warm hospitality of the staff and I love the little touches such as the themed rooms, breakfast menu in a form of an old book and fish guggle jugs. I especially enjoyed the food at your restaurant because the food was delicious and I could taste the freshness of the ingredients. The stable room that I stayed in was lovely, it was quaint and comfortable. The loft like windows is such a delight. I would definitely recommend to any of my friends who would be visiting there in the future.

Excellent food and service, being a local I cannot believe I didn't know this place was here. Just enjoyed a wonderful meal in this beautiful place. The food was just amazing and the service was faultless, will definitely be coming back especially now that I know it's on my doorstep!
