🦎🦎🦎Eastern casque head lizards🦎🦎🦎
LAEMANCTUS LONGIPES
CB18 babies £125 each
... The eastern casquehead iguana (Laemanctus longipes) are a species that reproduce without the aid of a Male.... this is called parthenogenesis
She don't need no man 💪
Parthenogenesis is a form of reproduction in which an egg can develop into an embryo without being fertilized by a sperm.
Eastern casque heads are a medium sized arboreal lizard. They are extremely inquisitive and handleable, similar to chinese water dragons.
Cool eh? 😎
Size: adults grow to around 70cm
Life span: upto 15 years
✔Habitat Eastern casque heads are native to forest of central America and Mexico.
✔Housing We recommend a minimum 3x3x2 vivarium with plenty of branches and plants to allow the lizard to climb and explore. Over head guarded and thermostatically controlled heating is essential alongside a high quality uvb strip light. Humidity retaining substrate is also essential.
✔Feeding These are completely Insectivorous so require daily feeding whilst babies of a varied diet of locusts, crickets, roaches, mealworms, buffalo worms and wax worms.
✔Humidity Spray daily to increase humidity to 80-100%. The lizard will also drink from the droplets produced when spraying as they rarely drink from a water bowl however we still provide them with fresh water daily.
✔Heat The ideal basking temperature is 30-35°c with thermal gradient creating a cooler end of around 25-30°c
✔Lighting High quality uvb lighting is essential. We recommend using a arcadia pro t5 7% uvb system for 12-14 hours per day.
