Went to watch Little Mix on Friday at the Showground, fab night everything ran on time and great idea using traffic light system to exit the event. Would go again to watch another act, love having that sized venue nearby

User

Went to see little mix it was brilliant, what a fantastic event and for such a big group to come to lincoln is amazing! Having been to plenty of concerts before it was so brilliantly organised, unfortunately you can’t please everyone as of course when that many people are leaving a venue at the same time it will always cause delays! People love to moan! Fantastic event and lets hope this brings plenty more big acts to lincoln!! Also the information leaflet sent out before hand was very useful informing of cash only

User

We went to the Richie concert last Sunday evening it really was an excellent night. Easy access, great choice of food & drinks with plenty of space to relax prior to the concert. Organisation was pretty good and the security teams did pretty well. You always get a couple of fools who go over the top. Lessons to be learnt but overall a great night

User

Lionel Richie was fantastic at the Showground and we thoroughly enjoy all the day and night as I was also working on my much loved Coffee Trailer @BailsBarista

Fabulous organised concert and set up.

Very happy with all the events I attend at the Showground and also the ones which I work at.

Thanks to all the team for hosting some excellent events.

User

Great venue and on the door step well organised good food available

Always people picking up or collecting rubbish.

Just a great day/night to see Lionel Richie

User

Attended the Lionel Richie concert last Sunday. Everything was fab, getting into the car park, we had great seats on the side higher up so my Nan could see easier and no-one obscuring our view. The food and drink was great, lots of choice. All in all, great time had and looking forward to going to Little Mix and the Lincolnshire Show

User

As a caterer I would like to thank all the Showground team for making the Lionel Ritchie an event to remember. The planning and layout was just perfect. All our customers were having a wonderful time and the whole day seemed to run very smoothly. Here’s to the next music festival. Well done Lincolnshire Showground.

User

Getting out of the car park at the end was a nightmare! Very few staff around and the ones that were seemed more interested in standing around and chatting with their colleagues than helping. Queues of cars in every direction, no one had any idea where to go! Fab night and Lionel was brill though.

User

Went to see little mix tonight who where amazing but what could of ruined it was firstly been told it was only cash only inside. Secondly on the way out the car park was dreadful could of been crashes. It was very dangerous and what makes it worse is that their was two yellow security jackets who where post to be looking after the traffic where stood having a chin wag. Also when we finally got to the entrance to go out we could only go way which was out of our way. The facility was disorganised and good job little mix where fantastic otherwise I would have been requesting my money back. The toilets where disgusting, hygiene poor and no toilet roll. The security guards kept blocking our view walking up and down in front of little kids trying to watch the concert. I will think long and hard about returning to this facility.

User

Well firstly I want to say Little Mix did an amazing show and both my daughters enjoyed it. What we didn’t enjoy was leaving the venue, no stewards to help get everyone out in the dark, no one seemed to know which direction they were going and surprised there were no prangs. I had two 6yrs olds and an 11yr old in the car and we had to sit from 10.15pm without moving for an hour and a half. I live 20mins away and I got home at 12.15am!!!!!! This place is great for concerts but the organisation is very poor and put a damper on our fab evening.

User

I have to agree with the previous review.....fabulous concert and great atmosphere but getting out of the car park HORRENDOUS!! Why have you got stewards on duty if they aren’t directing traffic? 4 stewards at the gate we left by just stood by watching absolute chaos! This really needs sorting out we certainly won’t be back unless it is.

User

Have just been to see Lionel R , parking organised very well and concert managed very well. But at the end when cars were exiting it was chaos. There were limited staff and queues in all directions. I can’t quite understand why this couldn’t have been managed better

User

Went to see Little Mix last night with my daughter which happened to be her birthday. She had a friend and my partner was with us to.

Getting into the venue was fine.

Then it went down hill. The concert itself was amazing, Little Mix were fantastic, they know how to sing and do a concert.

What was bad, was the lack on gents toilets. Quite a few ladies, and one unisex, only one men’s. When my partner asked why this was the case, we were told that the venue was expecting more women. Excuse me Lincolnshire Showground, wake up to the 21st century, how about us dads ??

Then we were told only cash was being taken at all the stalls, drinks, food, merchandise all only took cash.

Sorry I was in Hyde park exactly a week ago watching Michael Buble, and they took card. Sorry maybe I just thought other venues had the facilities to do so

Then getting out, everyone was packed like sardines to get out into the car parks, no events staff to guide people out for safety.

Once you were in your cars, it’s was the worst dodgems scenario you could imagine, 1000’s car all scrambling to the exit. No one to guide them.

How people were not injured

Then to add salt to the wound, got to the main road, we wanted to turn right, we were told we had to turn left.

Every one then needed up going down one lane country lanes so congestion continued.

So so disorganised, if it was not for Little Mix, I would be asking for a full refund

User

My daughter and niece went to see little mix tonight they loved it but what let it down was getting out the car park near 2 hours!!! Everyone going where ever they wanted no staff to help people very disorganised!!!

User

It all started so well..... getting in was a dream, food, beer and plenty of space.

Concert was excellent.

Get out the car park was shite!!

You need to have staff on to direct the cars to queue to get out instead of people queue jumping and bullying their way into queues. Took ages to get out the place because everyone was fighting to get out.

Really poor show..... it spoilt a very good concert.

Thanks for security chucking the drunk idiots out of block AA4, they were spoiling it for alot of paying customers.

User

I've just looked at buying tickets for the forthcoming Lincolnshire Show - nearly £50 for two tickets on the day. Forget it, I won't be attending any more of these Shows - its just ridiculously expensive .....and yes, organisers will say 'but you get such a lot for that'. Its still too expensive and puts us off.

User

I have returned from watching Lionel Richie who was amazing as always. Unfortunately though my evening was spoiled due to the ‘hospitality’ guests in front of me being too intoxicated. I spent £136 on my ticket to spent the whole night having my view obscured by people falling over their chairs into me, throwing their arms everywhere and being totally unruly, they were not even watching the concert. The poor steward near us did her best to control them but failed. I am very shocked that after all this behaviour had been witnessed by your staff they allowed one of their party to return from the bar with 6 more bottles of wine. How is this acceptable at a concert and why wasn’t this confiscated? Why were these people not moved?. I did not expect after paying the amount I have for others peoples behaviour to spoil the my night. I would like a response please to the questions I have asked as I have left what should of been a fantastic evening very soured due to your staff not controlling these ‘hospitality’ guests.

Thank you

User

Hi I would like to put a complaint in about the way I was tret and made to feel yesterday at the little mix concert.

As you can see from our previous conversation in my messages on here I asked about dissability seating and I explained my circumstances to you to be assured that I could go to the box office upon arrival and beable to get seated in the disabled platform area. I was not able to do this upon arrival 3 hrs before the show officially started me and my friend who accompanied me went to the box office as advised and told them about my conditions and that I had a previous conversation and was advised to come to the box office to get seating in the disabled area. The girls working in the box office told me that it was full and we would have to wait about and see if their would be any room available once everyone had got seated. So we waited for 3 hrs now bare in mind it was a hot day and their was no seating for me to sit in whilst waiting the little bit of bench seating that was their was always being occupied by other people. So I had no choice but to sit on the grass for 3 hrs. Not good for someone who suffers with fybromyalgia which gives me pain and discomfort and makes me extremely fatigued. Anyway I rode it out and waited for someone to come and tell us if their was availability. No one came so my friend went to ask again at the box office what was going on. The girls didn't even know themselves so they sent someone over to see if their was spaces. They came back and told us their was no spaces for us or anyone else who was in a wheel chair and we would have to go into the normal bit with everyone else. I then started feeling panicky and upset as I new I wouldn't bebale to last the evening stood up and in more pain than I already was. We couldn't leave as we had got a lift and they were not coming back for us until the concert had finished so we had no other choice than to go in and find somewere suitable that I hoped I could manage being their for further 3 hrs before the concert even started. We managed to get a spot and I could sit again on the grass until the concert started. So a further 3 hrs of having to sit and wait. That's 6 hrs of sitting and waiting on the ground. Would you bebale to do this? Because I know for a fact anyone who doesn't have a dissability or chronic health condition wouldn't bebale to manage sitting that long on the ground so someone like me really was struggling at that point. I pushed myself on as I really didn't want to miss the concert that I had been looking forward to for so long. Just before the concert started a massive hord of people descended to were we were sat so I had no choice but to get up and be made to stand as i was being trod on and pushed about so they could get a better view. I had no support to hold onto and as I am already unsteady on my feet this was making me feel very anxious and I just wanted the whole thing to be over. In the end we ended up leaving only watching half of the concert as I couldn't stand to watch anymore and I was litterly being pushed about and banged into. I started having a panic attack and my friend had to get me out quick. The whole experience has left me absolutly mortified. I had been looking forward to this concert for over a year when it was orriginaly booked. I didn't even get to see little mix perform their full show as we had to leave half way thru it. Another thing I will mention is I wasn't able to use the toilet facilities as their was no disabled toilets available for guests with a dissability. Their was just so many dotted about that were being used by the thousands of people their. I couldn't que for the toilet like everyone else can, I suffer also with inflammatory bowel disease which means when I need to go I litterly need to go. Why are their no disabled toilets available? To me I personally feel discriminated against and to plan a huge event like this you obviously were not thinking about the disabled guests who were attending. Or did you not assume any disabled people were going to be coming? So is where I am at now after being made to stand and sit on the ground for hours on end in pain and feeling very vunerable I am now having to spend today in bed recovering as I am now having a flare up from my fybromyalgia as well as my inflammatory bowel disease. I am in so much pain and cannot even get up and do the things I had planned to do today all because you didn't have enough seating available for the disabled guests. I am taking this further and I am getting some legal advice as this is most deffinetly a breach of dissability rights. I would be greatful if you can refund me for my ticket I purchased for the event as well as the one I purchased for my friend to accompany me. I would also like someone to get back to me regarding this matter as I know for a fact I shall not be the only one making a complaint about the events other guests were also feeling fed up and dissapointed.

I hope you hear from someone very soon

Many thanks

First and last visit today! Went to see Little Mix.

A Xmas gift for my daughter £45 each.

A superb UK act in a poorly run venue! Food outlets sparce and quality crap!

The Greek food stall left a lot to the imagination! Second choice for me and my 9 year old daughter as the 300 people deep queue for the one of three Burger vans was unacceptable! (Would probably be still queuing 3 hours after concert finished)

When Stavros licked his fingers before juggling the £8 kebab lolly on sticks by the meat end I took the decision to swerve!

Thankfully left two songs before the end of the show to avoid the car parking exit debacle reported on previous events!

In future, will stick to Arenas in Nottingham and Sheffield just across the county border for concert events.
