Lovely hotel and hospitality great food gourgous bathroom only fault was bathroom floor when wet was very slippy try and rectify before the claim brigade come with a claim

The hotel is set in lovely grounds with an interior to match. All of the bedrooms are very comfortable, and the lounge area is open to all guests (even if you don't want to order anything). The food served in the restaurant is amazing, with quite an extensive menu as well. The hotel staff were amazing as well. They were able to help with anything we needed.

As part of our Lake District tour, we stopped for cream tea at this little hotel in Bowness, which was previously a home gifted by the children's writer Beatrix Potter to her mother. The house has beautiful gardens, outdoor seating and lovely old world furniture and furnishings. The typical English tea and scones were delicious. It definitely looks like a cosy yet luxurious place to stay.

Beautiful setting with wonderful views. Rooms were spacious and very clean. On a nice day you can sit out in the acres of garden space and soak in the atmosphere. The staff were very helpful too. My only regret was that I didn't stay there for long.

This is an excellent hotel. If you are a Beatrix Potter fan, you are in for a real treat as this was a holiday home of hers growing up and she then purchased the property for her mother to live in . The property have we renovated and modified into a lovely hotel. Beautiful views, gardens, amazing dining experience. A must for first time visitors to Windermere.

Beautiful place, warm, welcoming and a truly relaxing place to stay. The staff were professional and attentive from the manager to the room maids. Hoping to visit again later this year

We spend an hour there, as we needed to charge our electric car and staff was very welcoming and friendly. We also had a lunch and food was very good plus the whole area is just great!

Lovely house, lovely location and a great value afternoon tea

Stayed in the Potter room, which is one of the larger rooms. Nice staff. The food is good, though not the cheapest.
