🌞 ITS THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS 🌞
We've had another fantastic dance year with amazing achievements, performances and exam results. We are so proud of each and everyone of you and what you've achieved this year.
Everyone here at Lisa Hurst Dance wishes all our dancers and families a wonderful summer break making memories with family and friends. We look forward to hearing all your stories when we return on Monday 9th September 2019 for the new academic year.
... I want to say a big thank you to all those that gave myself and the team beautiful flowers, cards and gifts. It was extremely kind of you all.
We can't wait to get started on the new academic year we have new classes including lyrical/contemporary, our big show with all students performing as well as our usual exam session. Its going to be a great year. :D
As its the summer it may take us a little longer to respond to messages but we will get back to you as soon as we can.

🦁 The live action LION KING is out in cinemas today 🦁 Will you be going to watch it over the summer holidays?
Why not celebrate the release of the film with our dance workshop on Tuesday 30th July 2019 at RAF Scampton for 3 years - 7 years.
... Learn dances, play games and make crafts in a jam packed workshop from 10 am until 12 pm.

We have lots of classes available in a variety of styles in different locations across Lincoln. Our classes start for children aged 2 years old right through to 17 years.

LISA HURST DANCE PRINCESS BALL (2 years - 6 years)
Just a reminder to parents this week in Flutterby Ballet (2 - 4 years) its our Princess Ball as its our last week of the term so students can attend in their favourite princess outfits or their ballet uniform.
... Dragonfly Ballet (4-6 years) will have a special princess ballet themed session to finish off the year. However, they will be in normal uniform.

🏅🏆⭐ THE BRIT AWARD SHOWCASE ⭐🏆🏅
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Brit Award Showcase yesterday. It was a fantastic afternoon celebrating the achievements of all our students over the last academic year as well as our students who took their exams back in May.
Everyone should feel proud of their achievements especially after learning routines and performing them in less than 5 weeks. This just shows that our students are absolute superstars.
... All the team have commented on how well behaved everyone was backstage in both the rehearsal and the two shows and with a quick turnaround between both shows they all took it in their stride. Most of them wanted to do it all again for a third performance.
As always a massive thank you to all the chaperones that helped us yesterday as without you our showcase wouldn’t have been able to happen.
A special thank you to the team who helped with organising the event, set up, filming and helping out during the event I couldn't have done it without you all.
All I have to say is thank you for another incredible year, you all make me love my job more and more each day Thanks

ITS TOMORROW
We are very excited here at Lisa Hurst Dance for our annual showcase which this year is The Brit Awards.
Students have learnt, remembered and practiced dances in less than 5 weeks. What superstars you have all been especially as most classes are only 30 minutes per week.

Please ensure students are in full uniform with hair in a bun or in a pony tail with correct shoes.

RAF SCAMPTON - Thursday 1st August 2019 (Barnes Wallis Community Centre)
... 10 am until 12.30 pm Cheerleading and Acrobatics
1.15 pm until 3.45 pm Ballet, Street Dance and Jazz
One workshop - £11 Both workshops - £19 (Students will need to bring lunch if they attend both workshops)
Please note - This workshop is open to all young people so they don't have to be part of a RAF family or our dance school to attend these workshops.

🦁 LION KING WORKSHOP 🦁

This group is designed so that parents can get up to date information as it happens on classes, special events, exams, festivals, competitions and show information.

💃😄 THE BRIT AWARDS 😄💃
Miss Lisa has seen such a big improvement from all our groups over the last couple of weeks with their showcase dances and it looks to be a great event.
Over the next few lessons we will be concentrating on just the show dances and developing performance/camera skills within all our classes (Flutterby Ballet, Tots Tap and Mini Acro will have normal lessons)
... Most seats have now been allocated for the first and second showcase. If you are not sure if you have tickets or if you are unsure where you are sat please send us an email or private message and we can let you know . Tickets will be handed out at the end of June to all that have paid for them.
