I'm home, exhausted, in awe, and more sure than ever - I will never run more than 5k.
What a day! London Marathon 2019 @sportsmassagetherapist Cardiac Risk In The Young - CRY

User

Good luck all you AMAZING people running todays London Marathon 2019.
A special mention to my inspirational friend Kate Finch - you're one of the strongest women I know, you Got This!
Doing my bit - Jenna Heath and I will shortly be making our way to Hyde Park where we will be rubbing the weary legs of those having run for Cardiac Risk in the Young. If like me you become overwhelmed watching these amazing humans and feel benevolent, this is a small charity that su...pports those that have lost young people to sudden cardiac related deaths, offers screening to families and undertakes vital research. I know they would be very grateful of any donations however small.
Have a great day everyone... Lx

I will be rubbing the weary legs (and probably some stinky feet) of those having run the #londonmarathon again this year for Cardiac Risk in the Young. I had an amazing day last year, and everyone I treated had a personal story of why and who they ran for. To say it was emotional is an understatement, all those I spoke to had a personal story of a lost a child, brother, sister, friend. It was an absolute honour, and giving a small amount of relief after their heroic efforts is an absolute privileged.
If you can spare any loose change, the money will go towards supporting those that have suddenly lost a young loved one, screening, research and awareness. As Jenna, my massage buddy says "no amount is too small"

If anyone is, like me, feeling a bit GRRRRR and SO over winter already, then I really cannot recommend this Sundays workshop enough. I've done a few of these with Leigh and I always come away feeling grounded and ready to face what the week ahead brings. You don't need to be a hyper-mobile yogi, this really is for everyone with an open mind. It is very gentle and there is a meditation and gong bath at the end which if you have never experienced I thoroughly recommend you do.

Lifting is awesome, and you're never too old.

As we are slap bang in the marathon training season, here's a nice little article on the benefits for sports massage for runners. https://www.realbuzz.com/…/how-sports-m assage-can-help-you…/

Hello! and a Happy 2019 from me. I've been a little quite on my page the last couple of months (I really need a social media class) but yesterday, a very special lady put a review on my page that just reminded me - all the hours I spend in college, at home learning, researching and "still trying" to learn all the muscles, bones and now in level 4 - tendons, ligaments and attachment / insertion sites (and there are tears, I can tell you) is all worth it:
"lisa is very professi...onal, understanding and a lovely lady who has helped me no end. I have Fibromyalgia and M,E and Lisa has helped my back and neck pain tremendously. I go every month now and would go more if I could! I would highly recommend Lisa for any ache or pain you may have"
Sports Massage / Deep Tissue Massage works brilliantly on all aching, fatigued, stretched, tight, bashed, bruised, abused soft tissue – you don’t have to be an athlete to benefit.

Hi, just to let you know I am going to be away for half term and will have limited access to my phone (Alex is confiscating it...) If you would like to book an appointment for the week commencing the 29th, then drop me a message through here, text or watsap. Please don't think I am ignoring you if it takes a day to reply. I will get back to you. Loves x
