Literary & Scientific Institute - Lsi Bridport Description
The Bridport Area Development Trust (a group of local volunteers) took on the challenge of restoring this much-loved building at the heart of our town, which had been empty and neglected since 1997. After many painstaking years of legalities and logistics, the LSI is now back, fully restored, for use by the community.
We have a fantastic cafe (The Alembic) which serves breakfasts from 8am, lunches from midday and delicious coffee and cakes until 5pm. Complimented by a modern, comfortable and relaxed work hub, where hot desk users can come and work in a professional and friendly environment. A meeting room and training room are also available for hire, and there's a lovely light courtyard space for sitting and thinking.
