About Little Creators

Art club for under 5's and their parents.

Little Creators Description

Art group for under 5's in Aylesbury. Suitable for approx. 1 1 /2-5 year olds.
Currently there is a session at the Queens Park Arts Centre in Aylesbury Tuesdays: 1 1 /2 - approx. 3year olds 10. 15am-11am and at my property for 3 - 5 year olds 1. 30pm-2. 15pm.
If there is more interest to run a group on a different day, then that would be possible too.
I am happy to accommodate small groups at the Queens Park Arts Centre or at my home. Individual work is also possible.
Sessions will involve lots of activities that stimulate fine motor skills and social skills and they will be educational too!
Most of all, sessions are Bright, Colourful, Explorative and Fun! ! ! - At times also quite Messy! !
The children and parents attending really enjoy the sessions and the children seem to recognise and like the weekly structure. For example of ending the session with a short story and a sticker!
Sessions are structured so that there is a beginning a middle and an end. I will bring something to show that we will be making so that there is guidance as to what CAN be made. Often this inspires the child or parent to explore further and to create their own and absolute unique piece of work! It frees them up and stipulates their imagination!

Art is empowering!
It is an opportunity to explore and create and take control of our individual creations, which boosts self-esteem and self value. Working in a group stimulates social awareness and showing others what you have created is an amazing opportunity to be appreciated for what you ARE. Furthermore, as a parent working with or alongside your child, is a wonderful chance to share and bond whilst creating.

About me Bettina:
I am a mum and have always created opportunities for my boys to explore art.
I have a background in social education and social work. I have worked with children and adults with learning difficulties and have volunteered in a mainstream infant school in Aylesbury a few hours weekly for nearly four years now.
I am a self taught artist and my interest in art is very much in the expressive and imaginative art. In 2011 I had an exhibition at the Queens Park Arts centre in Aylesbury.
I have completed level 3 in counselling studies and have attended courses on children and young people in counselling and creative arts in counselling. In 2010 I completed an Arts Therapy Foundation Course at Hertfordshire University. All of these have broadened my insight into arts and crafts and its importance.

Cost for sessions are £5.
All materials are included.
Parent involvement is essential!
Aprons for kids are available, though it may be more comfortable and less restrictive if they wear a set of old clothes of their own. (And you too parent! )

Best of all - Create and leave the mess behind!

Contact me via Facebook if you would like more information or if you would like to sign up.
A taster session can be offered.
Come along and have some fun! ! ! ! !
