Walking the Beautiful South Downs in aid of the Kit Tark Foundation
If you enjoy a lovely countryside walk please do sign up to this event in aid of the Kit Tark Foundation Charity set up by one of our mums to help prevent newborn baby deaths after the preventable death of her baby Kit who was born healthy but died at just 13 days old.
... This will be the second year they have organised a walk for Kit. Last year it was a great success, with over 100 walkers and raising an amazing £17,000!
The walk takes place on the beautiful South Downs on Sun 14 July and there are 3 walking options to choose from so there's something for everyone from serious ramblers to sunday afternoon strollers:
Tiger Mammoth, 26 miles for experienced walkers Tiger Medium, 13 miles for in-betweeners Tiger Mini, 6.5 miles for children and families
More details about the walk (and the charity) can be found at: www.kittarkafoundation.org/walk
And they have a FB event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/227607878 9306428/?ti=cl
Get those walking boots on and sign up today!

Mental Health Awareness Week
More than one in ten women develop mental illness during pregnancy or within the first year of having a baby.
7 in 10 women play down the severity of their illness and hide the extent of their struggle. A number of these women may not even realise the full extent for themselves.
... There are things you can do to cope with anxiety and stress. Many women find that it helps to talk to someone they trust about what’s bothering them. Talking to people about how you feel can be a huge relief and help remind you that you’re not alone.
Some women use online pregnancy forums. You’ll probably find that other people are having similar experiences and you may get some good ideas about how to deal with any problems.
Support is available: It’s important to get support sooner rather than later. As well as talking to your midwife or your GP, there are many organisations out there who can help, such as PANDAS, Mind and APNI (Association for Postnatal Illness)

Baby on the way?? Get your swimsuits on ladies because today's Sunday Swim with @brightonbub is for YOU!
Two years ago, when Alfie was still 6 months away from making his grand entrance, we had already begun discussing and looking into baby swim classes and waxing lyrical about his future career as an Olympian.
But now expectant mothers can start their Little Dippers journey FAR earlier, as Alfie's extraordinary instructor Sue is now running Aquanatal Yoga classes in the po...ol at Little Dippers Brighton!! Aquanatal Yoga is a gentle and effective form of exercise for pregnant women, allowing you to stretch without straining and overheating and to easily access deep relaxation. Yoga in the water facilitates relaxation and helps cultivate positive emotions ☺🧘‍♀️🏊‍♀️💗

Love these comments from one of our customers who has found that lots of the things we teach in our classes can be transferred to helping in lots of different ways in your baby's development.
We are loving swimming and Katia is so fantastic with the babies, I feel like we have learnt so much from her about encouraging babies and reading their emotions. This is so useful to us generally, not just when swimming, for example, we use big smiles and praise when weaning and it’s really helped us. Obviously the swimming progress is great too, we are so pleased to be doing a class that Lily enjoys so much which is also teaching her life saving skills - I didn’t even think that would be possible with such a young baby!

Happy International Women's Day to all our little dippers' mums raising strong daughters

WOW! Very excited that our very own baby swim pioneer Lauren Heston, Director and founder of Little Dippers has made it through to the finals of the Lifetime Achievement Award with Club Hub Acitivities. Winner to be announced in May! Keeping our fingers crossed!
Inspired when filming a tv advert for British Gas back in 1989 which featured a baby swimming underwater, a very controversial image at the time. After observing how naturally the baby adapted to the water she decided to investigate this phenomenon and created the now renowned little dippers baby swim programme teaching babies key life saving techniques and to love the water for over 25 years.

What better way to spend your lunch break than having a dip with your new baby!
It's always sad to say goodbye to our little dippers' having watched them grow and develop so much since joining us as little babies.
But lovely that these Dads' have been able to be a part of that journey by popping out in their lunch break to do their baby swim classes.
... We wish Frank and Henry (and their Dad's) all the very best with wherever they move onto next.
