BEST DAY EVER!!!!!
Our first full inspection was conducted at Thornton on May 4th and we have been desperate to share our news but have been waiting for the report to be published.
As you will read we had an OUTSTANDING day. What makes me burst with pride is that it was a NORMAL day.
... Our team deserve this acknowledgement, they work tirelessly, calmly and lovingly to provide the highest quality of care every day.
To achieve this in a new setting after only being opened such a short time is no mean feat. It is the culmination of blood, sweat, toil and tears. I have come up against a variety of people not ‘buying into’ this ethos. But Amy, Rachael and I have stuck by our vision and I’m so glad we did!
This is what we do, we do it for our explorers .

When you hear your child squealing with excitement and you ask what's wrong, her response is "I'm too excited for going to nursery tomorrow" You know you couldn't ask for more!

What a magical environment for little people. The entire set up is amazing, little stage, water wall, mud kitchen, huuuuge sand pit, full size jeep to name just a few of the outdoor activity areas. Inside is just as wonderful, completely in tune with natural fun play combined with modern learning tools.

Quinn was so at ease she didn't want to leave and has not stopped talking about it since xx

Well what can i say that others haven't already, a truly fabulous place for all Little ones to Explore. I'm really pleased we chose you for Ava.



Ava started at Little Explorers a few weeks ago, only one morning a week but we all have to start somewhere. I won't pretend she runs into nursery every Thursday all smiles and laughter, to be honest she is a little upset and has a few tears, but thats ok, it's ok because I know she is in good hands. All the staff have been fab, excellent infact. Very reassuring for both Ava and myself.



She'll soon be running into nursery all smiles and laughter I'm sure, she secretly loves it (I have seen the pictures that proves this).

We came in this morning with our Son Damien & signed him up to start in September he absolutely loved playing in the garden! What a fantastic Nursery! The Staff are fantastic too so friendly & helpful. We are so excited for my Son Damien to start Nursery in September.

Thank you to everyone at Little Explorers for giving Ellie the best childhood experiences over this last year and a half. I went to work happy and confident she'd be taken care of in the way I would hope. I love the nursery ethos - and credit to Emma and Amy for making their vision a reality. I so appreciate that my daughter has been able to just be a child and run free and play, and follow her curiosity. The muddier she was on pick up- I happier I felt!

We're going to miss you- it's sad to say goodbye! I'm very grateful to everyone at Little Explorers- keep doing what you're doing! X

Taking a moment to thank Little Explorers. Our boy gets upset whenever I drop him off but I KNOW he has a good time there and is happy snd settled more often than not before I have driven off. Big love to the ladies for reassuring me whenever I get upset with a phonecall to tell me how he is. We love this place and its values. So thank you everyone x

My son has settled in perfectly and can't ever wait to go back! He has become so much more independent and is so happy since starting here, loves his trips to the woods. Love the nursery and the staff! Can't praise the place enough xxx

My little girl absolutely loves the staff that care for her in the Oaks. They know her so well, I always find her in the garden exploring and love hearing about her adventures she has at the woods. The freedom she experiences while at nursery shows in her confidence in every day situations. She's becoming an independent little girl and I can't thank nursery enough and the wonderful, inspirational environment that the staff provide. Couldn't think of a better start to life.

My little boy had his last day at little explorers last week due to starting school this September, he has been here since the first day it opened. I cannot express how much love we both have for this nursery, it is amazing, it's unique and caters to every child's needs. Little explorers in my opinion opens up a whole new experience of a nursery, my son had the chance to grow into the person he is today by making his own choices and having the freedom he needed. He made lots of amazing friends along the way and the staff are lovely and get involved in all the fun! Haven't a bad word to say about the place it's just a shame we have to say goodbye.

My little boy attends little explorers and he absolutely loves it! The staff/managers are truely fabulous; bright, energetic, welcoming and friendly The nursery has a real 'home from home' feel to it and the children are kept busy with a variety of lovely, creative activities. I was really nervous about sending my son to nursery but little explorers have made the whole process easy and I'm just so delighted to see my little boy settled and happy at such a lovely setting. Thank you little explorers

My daughter has been coming here a fair few months now. I was anxious at first as a first time parent you can imagine. I've never been without her. She's always been by my side. She's come on in leaps! Not even 2 yet and her speech is amazing! She absolutely loves nursery and loves the girls to! They are an absolute credit and do an amazing job with the children! The place itself is outstanding and wish I could stay and play haha. Keep up the good work girls, you're brilliant! Can't thankyou all enough

Knowing that one of the owners has leadership backgrounds in primary school I am totally assured that this nursery will be amazing! From talking to the owners and being a nursery teacher myself I am excited to hear about all the outdoor and indoor learning experiences these lucky children will have access to.

It's amazing in every way, a great outside area and plenty for little ones to explore from a converted jeep into a slide to a huge sand pit! Inside is very airy with loads of natural light flooding the rooms and again lots to do. Our son loved playing on the bikes, scooters and stroking the rabbits, chicks and tortoise! JUST BRILLIANT!!

Isla absolutely loves coming to nursery! Doesn't want to leave when I come to pick her up, and chatters about all of the things she has done all day. I feel confident to leave her with the fantastic team at Little Explorers, and can't thank them enough. xx

Forest School is amazing! allowing children to develop ALL skills at their own pace with hands on experiences... Getting dirty and feeling the world around them with their own finger tips.... If they come home clean WHAT HAVE THEY LEARNT????

Carleton Little Explorers is perfect for my daughter. She loves attending and even eats most of her dinner now which was heard of 6 months ago. Staff are engaging, friendly and fun. Definitely recommend to all.
