Popped in last Saturday evening for a birthday meal for my son absolutely stunning food and service will be popping in again very soon 10/10
Never had a bad meal here. Lovely lunch outside today with the dog who they even bought sausages for. Love the milkshakes as well.
Met by Lyndsey in the car park as we arrived who showed us where to park. Had the Americano breakfast even though it was way past 12 o’clock and bottomless coffee - all freshly cooked and very tasty. Not particularly busy today, but steady flow of people in and out, so service was prompt and attentive. Managed to leave my hat behind; as I was on my way back in, was met by Lyndsey on her way out to give it to me. Will definitely be going back.
Lovely diner very friendly good food love the dirty chips and milkshakes . We be back again soon. Glory boys scooter club. Farnborough.
Just had my daughter's birthday party here, amazing, the kids loved the food & make your own sundaes, the party was well looked after by the staff & there was the bonus of having the garden! Originally booked Nelsons in Newbury but was offered here because of the pipe problems, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Thank you from a very happy 9yr old & her parents who enjoyed the sunshine & milkshakes.
Had a to die for oreo milkshake. Definitely going back for food. The menu is amazing
Excellent burger's, great for families fantastic with children, lovely service we will be back.
Driven past so many times but not called in, glad I did today! Very friendly welcoming staff and food was great. Recommended :)
Amazing place and great food, love an American diner and this place is perfect !!!!!!!!
Went for breakfast on bank holiday Monday, have to say the food was lovely. Service abit slow as there was only one lad front of house. We enjoyed it!
Lovely food and best milkshakes for miles. Friendly helpful staff, but just not enough of them. The one and only waitress there was rushed off her feet. A family of 6 walked out because they were left waiting for quite a while to be seated. Every time we visit it always seems to be like that. The only other criticism is the food is quite pricey, but my autistic teenage son loves it!
Just been, welcome was good. However once we'd made our order we were then left alone. No one asked if everything was ok with food we had to tell them that the order was wrong. Despite this food was really good. We never were asked if we wanted more drinks and had to ask for my son's desert. Myself and husband were going to have drinks and desert but unfortunately didn't want to stay any longer. This was for our 9th wedding anniversary and now would consider not returning.
Staff were very friendly, Milkshake was great. Service was slow, place was dirty, burger I had-meat didn't taste nice, had no flavour-chef came over& apologies straight away. He explained the meat they buy in is from an English farm but 80% beef 20% cod fat! He said he prefers 100% thick beef burger. Huge potential but a big let down again, this was our second visit-won't be returning
Ok food, pretty lousy service. Not busy, was greeted with “wait there!” Not “good evening” or “hello”.
Took an age to take our order, then it was impossible to get anyone’s attention to try and reorder more drinks.
Staff were hiding out in the kitchen.
Could do with a good lick of paint and the chefs looked like they needed either a good bath or a few early nights.
Has gone down hill since our last visit. A real pity.
Not one for leaving negative reviews, however looking at other reviews there seems a common theme. I would address these issues sooner than later. I’ve cream which we popped in for was mediocre, underwhelming and scoops just rammed into a sundae glass.
Food great service was great only thing that let it down was the cook shouting at one of wait staff constantly with people in restaurant very unprofessional
When we arrived the young lady, I believe the assistant manager was very pleasant. The food was good, however in the 90mins + we were there we counted five empty tables covered in dirty plates etc, and at this time there was only three tables occupied including us. The staff seemed more interested in messing about, talking loudly about how drunk they were in a field the previous night, the chap cooking the food kept touching his face and not washing hands, and the youngest girl on shift had the most appalling manners we had ever heard!! When asked to get an ice cream she made a scene, and on another request to do something replied with “ do you want me to wipe your arse as well” to the assistant manager!! Her uniform was utterly disgusting and if I had seen it I wouldn’t have ordered food, as it quite literally looked like it had not been washed in weeks! Such a shame as we had seen this place a couple of times and finally managed to get it, won’t bother again!
The food in Newbury was very poor quality meat, very grisly and everyone I went there with couldn't finish their burgers. I hope this is changed for the future as it seems to have put a lot of people off.
Over priced greasy spoon masquerading as a “diner” .
Dirty tables, toilets, floors and staff.
Food dry, tasteless and not as advertised on the menu.
Avoid at all costs
