Little Owl Studios Description

Hello, Eillisha here!

The 'Little Owl Studios' page will include animations, drawings, costume and prop work for my cosplays, model horses and tack as well as the opportunity to keep an eye on what I'm studying at University as a BA(Hons) Animation Student.

--Model Horse Customising and Tack Information--

I work using mixed media when creating customs before making sure they're covered in matte sealant and ready to be sent to you. I would still class myself as a 'novice' even though my work has Photoshow and Live Show placed, yet this is to everybody's personal discretion. I have various references as a buyer, seller, trader and part-time buyer, if you wish to view these then please pop me a message!

--Commission Info--

Depending on what it is you would like, I usually take on only two commissions at a time during each month so that you will receive a quality product as I am a student also. When you commission me, I request you pay a non-refundable deposit to secure your place and pay the remaining balance when your piece has been finished before it's released from the studio. You will receive regular updates on your purchase along the way, including any problems that may arise.

--Disclaimer--

Due to the nature of my work, I will give an estimated time of when your commission should be finished by but please understand this is only a rough guess. If I feel it may be longer I will inform you immediately.

I do except returns provided they are for a good reason, I will not accept any because you as the buyer has 'changed their mind' or found cheaper. Returns will be accepted if the item has arrived severely damaged or is missing pieces, as in this case I will offer to fix any damages / post out the outstanding order the next working day

How cute are these? We've had a couple of fantastic photos from Rachael, of her beautiful Exmoor pony Fred, alongside the mini Fred who was the recent Copperfox Mini Exmoor resin painted a couple of weeks ago! Don't they both look cute together?

Schleich Zebra customised to a 'blonde' or 'albino' Zebra. Little girl has received an airbrush base, before having her stripes, hoovies and eyes hand-painted to the reference patterns. Now sealed, with the usual pieces glossed, little girl is ready to gallop over to her new home!

Dragon Donkey medallion commission, sculpted by Khrysalis Studios and painted by myself using hand painted acrylics, pastels, pencils and pearl-ex for the shiny effect.
For the design the owner and I had a brainwave, that because she had won the medallion in Wales it needed to represent that in some way. When designing the colour for this donkey I wanted to incorporate the red Welsh dragon, therefore coming up with the idea of putting a red hue over the donkey's grey coat. Th...is would look too dark and quite frankly- too dull. The idea of the Mediterranean Donkey came into mind with their coat colours and would break up the red grey. After that this guy needed some belly scales to go across him and match in with his dragon tail and wings.
The eye was my favourite part to work on. I went by references of Smaug from the Hobbit and the dragon from Brave Heart. After sketching out the idea digitally and having it approved by the commissioner I did worry if I couldn't re-create that on the actual model. Needless to say I'm happy with the way this guy turned out even if his tail tip and ear are different :)
