Merry Christmas from all of us at the Little seedlings garden. Thank you for your support over the past year. We hope all the little seedlings have enjoyed this year and lets start planning the garden for 2019.

So I have an admission to make. I wont be around for the Christmas Little Seedlings club as I will be in a group of five people doing the Liverpool Santa dash in aid of Teenage cancer trust. The club will still be on but Paul has said he will run it. I was unsure if I would be allowed to do it or not but I am. So Im sad that I will be missing you all next week but I hope you all understand as we are trying to raise enough money to run the ward at Alder hey. So if anyone wants to sponsor me? WE DID IT AGAIN! LEVEL 5 OUTSTANDING AWARD. To say im proud is an understatement. Two years on the run now we have acheived the highest level. I cant wait to see you all on Sunday. X Zoe

So on Thursday, we will find out what grade we have been awarded for the North West in Bloom competion. Keeping our fingers crossed for a 5 grade again. Thank you to Jade and Liam who came and showed the judges around the garden. Also everyone who has supported us over the past 12 months. Parents and Little Seedlings. GREAT NEWS!!!! The missing dinosaurs have been returned. We just need our Bee and ladybird sticks back now please. The watering cans came back a week ago too. Thank you Marianne for telling me about this awesome news.

Great news, the caterpillars are starting to go into the pupa stage. We have one in full pupa and three on their way. Anyone want to guess what type of butterfly we will see? Thanks again to Kayes mum for lending us the pod to see this magic metamorphosis happen.

So the soft play area is finally completed and we have the grand opening this Saturday 22nd of September at 12 noon till 2pm. Sneaky peek photos. We will have a mini disco,face painter, balloon modeler, candyfloss and we have Spiderman,Chase, Moana and Maui. **There is a charge for using the soft play ** £3.50 or £3 for Dobbies extra card member's... This is for 90 minutes of play. 50p from this ammount will go to the charity that we will be supporting. So while the kids play your donation will helping to change someone's life.

So after a visit to the garden to do some weeding I'm sad to discover that we have had items stolen from the tyre gardens. The sticks with the Bees and butterflys ( only 2 left now) have gone and the big Trex and crocodile amongst other dinosaurs have gone too. These were items either donated or bought by us Volunteers or Lsc members. It saddens me to see this happen and makes me question if I should build the outdoor library or not. Would any of the Little seedlings make some posters saying please don't steal from our garden please?

Such a great way for children to learn. Lots of fun activities to do. Its really nice that your child gets to watch their seeds or bulbs grow & bloom at home.

My Grandaughter has been involved in Little Seedlings for quite some time now. It is amazing watching young people develop an interest in Horticulture that will hopefully will last a lifetime. Her involvement has increased her interest not only the the environment but of science in general. Well done Dobbies for allowing Little Seedling but a big thank you to the staff that work so hard to encourage and develop the garden and the opportunities for the children.�

Is a brilliant place for children to learn about gardening while having fun. The volunteers have so much enthusiasm that it over flows to the children. It's a brilliant hobby for you child to have.

I would just like to say i spent a lovely morning with two of my residents from work admiring the little seedlings garden in the Southport store! as we had heard so much about it from others. Dobbies store,coffee shop is lovely and the Staff are so so nice,their lovely. Huge big WELL DONE! for the Little seedlings garden it is Wonderful and the residents loved it,cant to wait to take more there,it made their day,their faces lit up around each Nook and Cranny,great sensory garden for them too. To think what hard work has gone into creating such a magic space out of what was more or less a derelict area. well done all involved.

Amazing experience for the children of the little seedlings club to be learning about gardens and nature. The garden is beautiful and a great little sanctuary for wildlife!
