You may have seen some unusual activity (and a lot of orange) in the harbour yesterday. Our annual major oil spill response exercise was underway. This year it focused on practicing the launch and use of the "Current Buster" inflatable boom system. This would be used to collect oil from the surface of the water and, importantly, is tough enough to survive the fast flowing water of the Arun. It can be towed between our vessels Erica and Windsong or fixed in place accross the river.

The MV PERSEUS, the 72 meter vessel currently alongside our commercial wharf, will be departing the harbor at approximately 1330 today.

User

Despite the weather forecast, a slightly wet and very windy Waterfront Festival will take place tomorrow from 10.30am to 2pm! Here is the revised programme.

User

The MV PERSEUS will be entering Littlehampton harbour at approximately 1215.

Two trips into Littlehamoton whilst we were at Bognor. Had some really good fun playing crazy golf, rode on the train, went on the beach, collected shells, had a visit to the fun fair. We had our granddaughter with us and she was so excited I expect we will be returning πŸπŸŒοΈπŸ•ΆπŸŒ‚πŸ¦€πŸŒž

I love Littlehampton been coming here for years and have taught my grown up Children how to catch crabs they still go crabbing when they come down and the best place to get the gear is Smudgers on Peir road they have it all and they also sell ice creams and hot drinks cold drinks and sandwiches / rolls.

User

I just love this place. Not over crowded like Brighton. Simple, straightforward and sandy beach. Little shops, and fab Harvestor. I recommend this place if you want peaceful walk on beach.

I have been going to Littlehampton ever since I was a young boy. My mother loved the speed boats, and as neither my dad or sister were keen to go on them, I was the one that was volunteered to go on with her. But I must admit I loved them too. However yesterday we took our daughter and grandson, thoroughly enjoyable day out.

User

Great place to visit, fantastic harbour staff, easy along side visitors moorings.Very close by facilities, and 5 mins walk to the beach or town.

Went to Littlehampton yesterday on a day out with family and friends. I used to come here alot when younger and can remember the rollercoaster they had. Nice and clean and not overcrowded. We had a good time crabbing in the pond which seems to be very popular past time. Went into Ocras for something to eat which we all enjoyed. Spent sometime at the fair but not alot of bigger rides for older children. Although my 8 yr old loved the rides. Good game of crazy golf 9 holes so just long enough before young ones get bored. Took the train for a return trip along the beach front. Β£2.50 for return journey. They are a few shops but not that many to speak off. All in all we had a good day and would visit if that way again.

User

We went to Littlehampton for the first time to do crabbing with my family. It's a great family area with lots to do. It's recently been renovated etc. which makes the place clean too. Just check the parking before you do. Also, if you're going to do any crabbing then take your own bait: raw bacon strips!! Otherwise it's £1 per small bag!! 😊

User

Love walking my new puppy along west beach. Shame all people don't pick up their dogs droppings and take their rubbish with them. Not too bad at the moment but it needs to kept as clean as possible for all to enjoy.

Littlehampton is fun for every age. It has it's beautiful sandy beach and arcade area. It has little kiosks were you can buy all different things from flip flops to fish suppers. It has a new park and a mini golf area. There is also a leisure centre near the sea front. There is a boating lake beside the arcades. The kids can go crabbing there! The local town is only 5 mins walk away. There is a massive restaurant at the main car park called Harvester. The arcades have an inside cafe. You can't go wrong when you come here πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜€β˜€οΈ

I like going to littlehampton. Only downfall is the harvester. Firstly they closed early on Monday and staff were drinking and eating outside. Whilst tellling customers it was closed. Also went there again as I thought give it a chance. An hour and 45 minutes to order food and eat! Diabolical. So there is a great little cafe on the promenade. Use that one!.

User

A delightful natural area. A Victorian style beach with wave breakers and a few nice cafes overlooking the beach and sea. It's clean and well looked after and a good place for a long walk.
