I went to a conference for Usborne this time last week, and we were lucky enough to hear the author of these books, Tasmin Winters, talk about her last two books, as well as some of the real issues faced by the characters in her book and so many teens and pre-teens today.
I was gob-smacked and saddened by some of the statistics of young girls and their thoughts regarding their body image and confidence. These were girls as young as 7 years old!!! 😱
I have Tamsin's latest boo...k, Jemima Small Versus the Universe, and I'm waiting for a quiet half hr to get stuck in. 😊
