I was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Brighton Kemptown in the 2017 general election.

Born in Brighton, living in Kemptown, Raised in Sussex, I went to the local comprehensive school and college and worked in Lewes and Peacehaven.

My background is in co-operative businesses and youth work: I worked for East Sussex County Council’s Youth Service, and have negotiated on youth and environmental issues at the EU and UN for many years.

My experience in community projects, youth work and housing drives my passion to defend our schools, build more affordable housing, and protect our local services.
