Good service but too small

The woman that served me was as friendly as a cornered rat!

Counter assistant told me they'd all had a discussion as to why my meds would be delivered as its only normally old people. I was then looked up and down (I'm not old but am disabled!). I advised that my gp fully supported my request and was prepared to write to them if required. I was told with reluctance this wasn't necessary. BUT numerous times I found my meds were NOT being delivered, leaving me without. NO notifications through my door, so NEVER attempted. Still in the pharmacy. Making it very difficult. LUCKILY a carer has been able with a heavy workload to get my prescription from the pharmacy. Customer service training could possibly help inc frosty delivery. Customer confidentiality needs to be considered. Perhaps instead of a discussion without me they could have suggested that I have a private consultation with the practice manager, from what I understand is the only person who can make the decision whether to deliver or not.

I just wish one of the ladies would smile. It may make her feel happier-it would me!

I'm amazed at other reviews - I have found, over many years, consistently courteous and helpful staff, prompt advice during telephone inquiries, regular monitoring of ongoing conditions, and pharmacists always willing to explain and instruct. It's my NHS open door, and deeply appreciated.
