Went to Locale Blackheath Christmas Day with family plus Mum in her wheelchair.

Food was great, nice atmosphere and staff couldn't be more helpful which made it a lovely Christmas all round. 5*

Loved it! Food was spot on. Everything was delicious the boyfriend had the lamb cutlets and he said he could easily have 9 more! Think he's in lamb love. I had the chicken with mash � we'd definitely go again, only thing I would like to say is they should offer calamari on the menu. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the bar man will know you up any cocktail you fancy, loved Locale �

It's beautiful and the food is amazing oh the staff a great too!

I could have cut my steak with a spoon, and the garlic broccoli was delicious. Great cocktails, too!

Went on a groupon voucher 21st June and groupon menu although limited in choice was very nice .. really recommend the lamb you have to pay extra for potatoes veg etc not included in price ..

The bar staff were very nice and were approachable. We sat down for food and the service was ok up to when the main came out and half of our orders were cooked incorrectly. When my friend and I got our food the second time it was the wrong way round. When I eventually got round to eating it the steak was chewy and tough and fatty. I wouldn't eat there again but I would go for drinks

My boyfriend and I decided to go on a double date with our friends. Apun arrival we where very impressed with the decor and atmosphere. I then made my way upstairs to the restaurant/bar and told a member of staff my name for the booking.

We where seated whilst waiting for our guest to arrive, we had a groupon voucher which included 3 courses each and a glass of prosecco which we received and was lovely. However service was slow due to the small amount of tables in the restaurant. The food was great, however I did as for my steak well done and came more rare than everyone else on my table who all got medium-rare. The 'salad' on the side was just leaves completely covered in oil, which flavour would best be described as 'play-dough'. Besides that the food was lovely and good value for money!

The staff kindly put a sparkler on my friends dessert after saying it was his birthday which was hugely appreciated! It came to paying the bill and there was service charge put on of almost £14. I work in the hospitality industry as a waitress so I always like to leave cash tips rather than card which was how we where paying our bill.

So my partner politely asked the gentleman, who looked like the manager, tall, white and dark hair, if he could take the service charge off and the man sharply and rudely responded 'why?', shocked at this question my partner replied that we where going to leave a cash tip. He was then ignored and the man got the card machine ready

One person paid the bill on card and to see that he had not taken the service charge off of the total bill, so we then asked again to take it off, we got no reply and he just snatched it out of her hand. After paying, my partner and his friend went to the toilet and was going to come back to put a cash tip down. The same man rushed over to the table whilst they where in the toilet, opened up the booklet in which the bill was in and said 'where is my tip' me and my friend shocked didn't know how to respond, seconds after he then again said ' why have you not left me a tip, the gentleman said he would', in a very patranising and angry voice. I then responded saying excuse me? In which he carried on saying how it was embarrassing that we didn't tip him? When in fact we was going to, but he was so rude and impatient we did not leave one in the end. He felt embarrassed? He completely humiliated me infront of other customers as he said it quite loudly, hopefully they heard how rude he was being to paying customers at the restaurant. This completely ruined my evening and therefore would not return or recommend to anyone else. But the jokes on them as he missed out on the generous tip I would have given them

Went to Locale before (on a Monday evening). I had salmon as I am not a red meat eater. We all enjoyed the food and so I decided I would go there for my anniversay. I went yesterday, sunday. Out of the six adults only one person ate. The bread was salty, the food was tasteless and for the steak eaters, it was stringy, fatty beef soaked in bland gravy. The food was absolutely awful. I had Seabass which was so tasteless and awful. Our evening was actually ruined. I haven't tasted such bad food in a long time. The discount the manager applied to the bill was an insulting £22.00. I won't be eating there again (but I didn't eat).

We went to Locale to celebrate my mothers birthday. We had booked a couple of weeks before and we all had high hopes as it was such a special occasion. Our waiter was incredibly rude and dismissive, the menu on the website and the menu we were given did not match. We had all planned on having lobster, but that was no longer an option. The once legendary cocktails at Locale are now badly made and undrinkable. Our food was a huge disappointment, the steaks were fatty and unpleasant, the spaghetti was chilli heavy and our béarnaise was stone cold! The icing on the cake was when our coffees never arrived. All in all a dreadful evening, we will not be returning and we do absolutely NOT recommend it!

45 minute wait for drinks.. every time we ordered. Food was bland and came out different to what the menu had written. We complained and still didn’t really receive a an appropriate apology. They did take a percentage off the bill however an apology could may have made things less sour. We will not be returning.

Spent an evening here for a relative's 60th, which as a night overall at this venue was great. Service was fine, surroundings are nice. The beer is served in 2/3rds Pint glasses at nearly £5 a pop. That's really pushing it. Wine prices not quite so trumped up. The food tho I was really disappointed with. Whilst some of our group were satisfied with theirs, one had burnt(quite) belly pork, and we had a couple other small issues. My scallop starters weren't seared or caramelised or seasoned but merely 'warmed thru'. Main lamb was cooked great, rosemary mash was a (strangely) 'must pay extra' side but lovely. Bizarrely I had artichokes that still had many inedible layers still on and cooked, and leeks that were just inedible hard green tops. In essence the only thing I had that I could eat for my main was three small pieces of lamb. Basic stuff going very wrong here.

The waiting staff were run off their feet and there was only one barman - making cocktails fir large groups so it took an age to get a drink. The meal was £35 a head without drinks - it really was poor value for money. Such a shame as it’s a lovely venue. I’ll only go for cocktails from now on!

Over priced food, no taste to it, definitely not value for money, management didn’t seem to be that concerned, not compensated in any way, will not be coming back
