Nothing to do with locks this time

Just realised I'm the most reviewed Locksmith on the Wirral. Don't take chances with your security call the company you can trust :)

Attended a burglary in West Kirby today. Lady only went upstairs for a couple of minutes and within that time a thief came in and stole keys and an iPad.. Gone are the days when we could leave our doors open.. Sad times indeed..

Attended a burglary today, luckily the thieves managed to get into living room from the patio door but owner had locked the door leading into the hallway so they were unable to access any other parts of the property.
Whilst advising owner on measures he could take he told me he'd been burgalled before and the previous locksmith didn't offer any advice. If he had they wouldn't of got back in :-/

Another security upgrade..

Would this be of interest to anyone? Burglars get away with murder due to lack of evidence. This provides the evidence needed to prosecute and I'm sure would act as a deterrent to thieves...

Happy Monday everyone, hope you all made it through the weekend unscathed.. As you know cuts to the police force has led to a dramatic increase in crime throughout the UK. It seems like every day I've been attending burglaries to repair damage caused by burglars whereas in the past it was maybe once or twice a week. I know we like to imagine ourselves inside a bubble and hope it will never happen to us but the likelihood is that sooner or later thieves will take an interest i...n our properties. When that happens please make sure you have satisfactory/good security measures in place. If you have a smart new car then this makes you a more likely target as they will have to gain entry to retrieve keys on most new cars.
I'll be updating this post regularly when time permits so lookout for regular security tips.

Been to a few jobs recently and have to say there are some right cowboys out there! I've seen white handles fitted to brown doors, customers having cheap locks fitted and being told they are the best available and holes drilled in UPVC doors for no reason I can put my finger on.. If you ever need a locksmith please try and find an experienced local engineer. Ask them where they are from and see if they know the area. Ask them how long they've been trading? The National call... centres pray on inexperienced locksmiths, charge customers a fortune and pay the new Locksmith barely enough to make a profit.. Also because the locksmiths are inexperienced they are likely to damage your door.
A decent locksmith should be able to gain entry without doing any damage to your door.

Check back doors in case locks have been snapped prior to return of thieves.

Local Business lady Gill Dabek raised money and donated her own money to have 2 defibrillators fitted in the local community. She needed someone to change the lock as they'd sent it with the wrong code and the manufacturers said the lock warranty would be void if anyone other than their engineer changed the code. They preferred to send a new lock which I swapped for her, gratis of course.

Mixed bag today, I've replaced a UPVC door mechanism. Upgraded locks to British Standard Anti snap cylinders, Adjusted a few doors that weren't closing properly (no parts required) and lastly fitted 6 upvc bolts a patio lock and a window lock.. That'll do, time for some wine and a take away.

Have to restock soon.. Lots of people upgrading due to the rise in burglaores. I blame the government cuts to the Police force.

Due to the increaser in thefts from vans we are now fitting deadlocks and slam LOCKS. Please message for details.

So I have the cctv, I have the alarm but all that is no good if your locks are the basic, old fashioned ones that came with the door when it was fitted. Burglars can pop them out in seconds (I have seen the YouTube videos!!)
