If you're after a remap for a stock F56 and don't want to go too crazy, a Superchips tune may be for you.
This customer had a stage 1 remap by Superchips Ltd. and made 258.8 Bhp and 368.4 Nm. This is a great gain compared with stock Cooper S figures and at the moment costs just £339.15

This F56 Cooper S dropped into our workshop for an Airtec Intercooler. Its already had a third party remap but the customer wanted to see what difference the intercooler would make. This F56 had before and after dyno runs and the results show that while there was no drastic difference in bhp, the intake temperatures significantly dropped. At 6000 rpm Intake Temperatures dropped from roughly 52°C to 37°C, check out the graphs and see for yourself!
We have the intercoolers on ...the shelf and they are available for next day delivery, so reduce your engine bay temperatures by getting your MINI and F56 Airtec Intercooler! For more details then hit the link below!

You’re in good hands here , had remap , GFB diverter valve and plugs , they check the car properly and have done an awesome job. Car feels amazing , thanks for correcting someone else’s **** up !

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Jake and the team at Lohen.

I had my R56 N18 cooper s in for a stage 1 remap.

It took a good 5 hours but waited in their great customer area with tv and I was made to feel very at home.

After a few dyno runs it was over 245 BHP and 390 NM with the upgraded spark plugs and panel filter.

Only had it half a day but it runs fantastic and the power is consistent with no flat spots. Semi slicks will definitely be needed soon though.

You really do get what you pay for.

I’d recommend Lohen for any mini owner.

Thanks

Thought I'd pop a review up here.

Recently had quite a lot of work done at Lohen.

My car decided to melt a piston toward the end of last year so i got it booked into Lohen for an engine build.

The workmanship put into the build is quite honestly fantastic. To look at you'd literally never know the engine had been out of the car yet its got oversized forged pistons and rods.

Had a few little issues which were things that wouldn't have been caught unless doing the work I had done but i was always contacted straight away to ensure I was kept updated and that any extra work required didn't take place until i had given authorisation.

Had the car back for about 2500 miles now and aside from one or two minor teething issues (it was stood for 7 months) the car has been great.

While my car was in having the work done i was provided with a courtesy car at no cost as well which was an r56 cooper.

In my experience Lohen are probably the closest you can get to a main dealer experience but without paying an extortionate amount of money.

Their parts availability is like nothing else too. Only place i know which keeps pretty much everything on the shelf.

Cheers again!

Thanks for the full suspension setup today, it's a nice place to spend a few hours with friendly staff and lots of nice MINI things to keep you entertained. The drive home showed some of the potential the setup has given me, it even felt better on the motorway! The corners I could have a bit of a go at showed it was money well spent - happy days.

Recently had my car down at lohen for a substantial amount of work. Could not be happier with there service, went the extra mile to get done that wasent initially planned.

Highly recommend for anyone wanting work done on there mini.

Needed to get a Quicksilver Exhaust fitted to my car and Lohen were recommended as an AD for QS.

Gave plenty of advance notice to get the exhaust (paid for upfront about 3 weeks before fitting but the timing was my choice).

On the day the service was excellent - kept advised on progress, given the opportunity to inspect the car as the exhaust was fitted and was able to wait in the very comfortable lounge area with complimentary hot and cold drinks.

Work was completed more quickly than originally estimated (unexpected cost saving) despite a small glitch which had to be resolved.

Car now looks and sounds amazing. Thanks to Jake and the team.

Just like to give the Lohen team a big thanks for fitting the Helix 6 paddle clutch and lightweight flywheel kit along with some Powerflex bushes to my R55 JCW this week, cant believe how much better the car is with this clutch kit, its very easy to use in traffic and round town driving and most of all my wife can still drive the car with no issues at all, big thanks to Jake for recommending this clutch kit.Ive Been to Lohen quite a few times the last couple of months for mods/parts and a remap, its always so peaceful and quiet in there with a great shop with lots of products on display, i cant imagine taking my Mini anywhere else for work after visiting Lohen. :)

I've visited Lohen at least five or six times since November '17. And they've always treated me and my car extremely well.

The fact I travel all the way from Wales lol. Shows how highly I rate them....

I've never been one for messing with the MINI apart from lowering springs with I have brought for a number of my cars from Lohen. When they asked for a number of test cars for the new ecu remap from Manic Motorsport I put my name down. I was lucky enough to have been chosen and when up after work. On arriving I was met with a great friendly team who explained what would happen. The car was taken away and during the day I was kept up to date on how my MINI was doing. The team worked hard getting the remap right and even worked over till 7.30pm when they didn't have to.

Since then I have only driven it a few times but I can tell the difference in car and it now drives and pulls away like it should. I was surprised that it was 209bhp stock but now it's 267bhp.i have had no issues with the car since the work was carried out. I would recommend Lohen for all work on the MINI as they understand what is needed. After Christmas another set of springs will be winging its way to me.

I would like to thank the team at Lohen for their service today. I was booked in for a stage 1 remap, from the off they were welcoming and friendly showing me round the unit with where everything was. After a small hickup with obtaining the mapping file, by no fault of Lohen's what so ever, I was more than pleased when I was invited into the viewing box to see my car was on the dyno... Having a quick chat with the guys about a few questions I had which were all answered without hesitation I left lohen in my newly remapped car.. To say I noticed a difference is an understatement, I thoroughly enjoyed the hour and a half journey back home!!

Thank you again.

I went to Lohen today for a new timing chain and De-Coke on my JCW. Amazing customer service, they show photos of everything they have done to the car, not pushy and very informative. Also a waiting room as well with drinks, TV, Xbox etc. I’m made up thank you, my car drives like it’s brand new :)

Came over from Ireland to get maintenance work done on our 2008 Mini. Appreciate everyone will have a different experience but we had a fantastic experience as soon as we switched the engine on the car felt like it was breathing better. Brakes, steering, performance all improved and some good tips for future maintenance/performance improvements. Will recommend these guys to anyone and will be making a return visit in the future.

As far as I’m concerned what Lohen don’t know about the BMW MINI isn’t worth knowing!

I first visited Lohen in May of this year in order to have a replacement high pressure fuel pump fitted on my R56 Cooper S as I felt that I was continually being ripped off by the prices quoted at main dealers! Lohen did a brilliant job, my car was ready within 2 hours and at half the cost of a main dealer! I also found the staff at Lohen to be extremely knowledgable and professional in delivery of customer service and were a real pleasure to do business with.

I recently had some major upgrades carried out on my MINI which required Lohen keeping the vehicle for a week. They supplied me with one of their courtesy cars and Jake at Lohen kept me informed of the progress of the work and a further small cost when a minor issue with the car was discovered.

I collected my MINI last Friday and couldn’t believe the difference in the performance, drive and sound of the vehicle! Lohen have done such a superb job and I will be returning in the near future to have further upgrades carried out on the car.

I would also like to give a big thank you to Jake at Lohen for his patience over these last couple of months when discussing the best way forward re modifying my vehicle. I appreciated his advice and honesty and at no stage did I feel, unlike the main dealers, that I was being ripped off!

To sum up, I am absolutely over the moon with the work that Lohen have carried out on my MINI and cannot recommend them highly enough. I will definitely be using them from now on for all my vehicles servicing and modification needs.

User

I ordered some parts from them next working day well they didn't turn up so I spoke to them and they said it was going out on that day surprise surprise I then found out the following day they sent it to the wrong address. They then said they will send another parcel out Friday on next day delivery well still no parcel and as it is Saturday by this time I gotta wait till Monday thanks Lohen. Rubbish dispatching and rubbish at spring the delivery out. Don't worry I won't be recommending you

User

Tried my best not to leave a negative review but after what I have experienced I thought it's only right to share it.

Had a lot of work done here on my Mini Countryman , and I don't think I have ever come away feeling ecstatic about the work they have done (enjoyed the manic remap), they left my front end loose after fitting an intercooler and downpipe (full bumper and dirt sheets) causing the undertray to fall off and be run over, snapping a stud on my exhaust manifold and not fixing it, not fitting my gearknob correctly and it coming off whilst I was driving (they had damaged the gearknob on the underside by not aligning it correctly).

After doing a uprated clutch, brake fluid change and mot on my car they let me drive away with my clutch pipe seaping (not on the mot test sheet) and it splits within less than a week causing me to lose the clutch, and brake fluid being spilt all over the underside of the floor.

There is a few other bits aswel, but unsure if they were Lohen's fault or the cars.

Just dangerous and poor workmanship, I came here because of the decent reviews, and I don't understand how they have them, especially as others I have spoke to don't have a decent word to say about their work, now I wish I never bothered and I will not be returning, feels like I have wasted a lot of money here that could have been wisely spent somewhere else.

User

So a few weeks back I ordered updated Tarox pads/disks, braided lines and fluid for my r53 cooper S with JCW calipers. Ordered them on a Sunday and a week passed... phoned up eight days later on a Monday to be told they weren't in stock but I would have them by the end of the week. Would have been nice to have been given a call but wasn't too bothered at the time. They finally arrive and I book my car in and turns out I have gen2 jcw calipers not gen1 completely my mistake so I get them sent out next day delivery and was told they would happily replace them. Call up on the Tuesday and they have revived them and guy on phone sorts me out as close as like for like as he can and says they will be at the garage that the car is at on Thursday (yesterday) but no, nothing. I call them up today to find out they are not in stock and will be with me Monday. No sorry, no phone call after I've placed my order to tell me the goods are not in stock... well looks like I won't be going on my first track day tomorrow. The bit I'm most disappointed with is the guy on the phone was so miserable and his attitude of not being bothered in the least and I had to say how disappointed I was before I got a strained sorry and a bye. After this order of nearly £500 worth of goods I can safely say I won't be using them again! Communication is horrendous, can't be bothered to pick up the phone or email a customer to inform them of delays! Joke

User

I've been waiting six weeks (and counting) for a set of brake pads to be delivered. Granted I live in New Zealand (not on the Moon) so it's reasonable to expect parts to take a bit of time to get here, but six weeks!!!! and still not here. The shipping company is TNT, so they are giving a pretty useless account of themselves, If I lived next door to Lohen, i don't think I would trust TNT to make the delivery.

User

I recently had Lohen replace the timing chain on my R53 Cooper S. Unfortunately my experience dealing with this company has bee woefully inadequate. My First impression Of Lohen's premises was very good, all smart and modern, nice reception area and immaculate workshop. I live in Northamptonshire so arranged to have the car trailered to their premises as I was unhappy driving the car very far with the racket from the timing chain. I had agreed on a price for the work and arranged to stay over if extra time was needed to complete the work. Based on their estimate the work should be completed the same day. This is when the problem started. After returning in the mid-afternoon I was dismayed to be told they didn't think there was a problem with the timing chain at all. They had not road tested the car. I had previously told them the noise was only obvious after the car had been driven till it was warm. So I and the technician took off down the road and stopped after a couple of miles so he could hear the noise. He now agreed there was a serious problem and what did I want to do. I asked them to get on with the job and strip the engine to investigate further. Removing the valve cover revealed little another than a small piece missing from the chain guide. Later on, I was informed by the customer service person that they would not be able to continue with further work until Monday 3 days away. On Friday morning I basically pleaded with them to complete the job the same day. This was refused because he said he had booked in other customer and id not wish to change their bookings or inconvenience them. None of this concern was available for me though. No apology either.

I had to travel back home on the train and return on the Monday. I telephoned Lohens before I set off and was told the car would be ready by Monday evening.

Later I was phoned and told that the timing guides were smashed to pieces, the sump was full of debris and possible engine damage due to oil starvation. The sump would have to be removed and cleaned out as well. I was not informed how much extra this would cost.

When I arrived the car was ready to collect. I took it for a short drive and it seemed okay.

Then I was presented with the bill which was 60% more than quoted . Now very annoyed about this I asked about compensation for their failure to diagnose the problem with car in reasonable time and ,force me the huge inconvenience of having to travel back home and to return later on the train.

I then had a meeting with a senior director and obtained a modest discount for my trouble. When amending the bill the customer service person asked my address and quoted one from 4 years ago when I had other work done.. Under Data Protection rules old data for a customer must be deleted.

In short the problem with Lohen's operation is two-fold. One communication. The customer service person is not properly recording information from the customer so the technician has sufficient detail. Number two the technician lack of initiative to diagnose the fault. There was too much " we've never had trouble with the timing chain" attitude. And finally The worst aspect was the Customer Care failings. The Customer service person showed no interest in the problem they had caused. No apology or offer of any compensation.

I hope my comments are taken on face value, I bear no malice to anybody but the Organisational failings are serious and need to be addressed promptly.

Joke
