About London Dietitians

We help people to feel and be their best, whatever their age or health, by offering an expertise and knowledge-led approach to food and dietetics.

London Dietitians Description

We offer a caring and support-led service based out of our Wimbledon practice, and across various clinics and hospitals in London. The practice was set up by Lynda Mallinson in 2002 and is founded on Lynda's passion for teaching her clients and patients to eat properly so as to prevent disease.

We offer an expertise and knowledge-led approach to food and dietetics, and are highly qualified to advise on diet as a treatment for a wide range of serious medical conditions such as IBS, heart disease, diabetes and osteoporosis. For patients going through cancer treatment, we monitor and adapt each programme regularly as side effects differ for each patient. Our programmes for improving performance in sport or professional life and for weight management are also tailored to each individual.

Patients are typically referred by a GP, Practitioner or by self-referral, and we have long-established partnerships with many practitioners, hospitals and medical centres in London. Most health insurance policies now provide some level of dietetic cover, so please do get in touch for more information as we can help you with this.

We look forward to making a difference to your health.

Any of my friends got children who might be keen to join in this cycle camp? It’s organised by my cousin and happens on my parents farm - the kids will love it!

Eating well CAN improve your mental health and well being. Professor Felice Jacka from the Food and Mood Centre has given a very readable account of her lifetime of research in this area in the article attached here.

We have two patients coming in this week, who are wanting to look at a functional medicine approach to treatment of osteoporosis. It has been suggested that they should start taking bisphosphonates, but neither are keen due to potential side effects.
Along with Dr Daniela Mo we will be looking into the GROWS-B treatment plan assessing and helping with the following:
G UT: digestion and absorption ... R ight raw materials O ptimise hormones W ithdraw bone saboteurs S timulate bone growth B alance and fall prevention
So many areas to look into! I’m excited to see the changes this will make to their DEXA readings in the coming years.

Thought I would share a little more on TC journey with London Dietitians, as she has been such a motivated client and done so well. For some of us it takes a little longer to make the decision, but for her, she was completely ready to embrace change. Here is her story .....
'I went to Lynda at a time where I needed advice and I was probably at a very low point. I knew that I needed to take action to improve my health, as I was moving from wellness towards illness and it wa...s time to intervene.
Lynda listened to my story, current and looked back to my health right from birth. She provided me with a new eating plan. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to make all the changes, but I started and continued and have thoroughly enjoyed reaping the benefits, which include: Being able to mobilize and exercise easier, massively improved energy levels, a 15.3kg weight loss and an improved immunity – 6 months without a sniffle!
I have loved learning about the power of food, and now continue to focus on eating a rainbow, and watching my intake of sugar and carbs. I have loved exploring new recipes and its hard to believe that I now have days when I don’t eat meat! Who would have known that change could be so satisfying!
I can’t thank Lynda enough for her time, expertise and encouragement. It has been a life changing experience with endless positives’
Well done TC! A true inspiration to so many 😄

A fantastic conference today, with Dr Dale Bredesen presenting his 25 years of research, about reversing cognitive decline. Completely oversubscribed, with 70 people on the waiting list! So blessed to be doing this journey alongside Dr Daniela Mo (Functional Medicine GP), as we implement the ReCode programme into practice. Exciting times with patients coming from all over to start on the journey of reversing their cognitive decline! We even managed to get a photo with ‘the man’ himself 👍
