Just had my Brompton serviced, they did a great job. I ride this bike hard as a commuter bike, and the wear and tear on the parts is substantial. The people at London Fields Cycles give me the best attention and the best value. I used to go to the big brands, but I would always get ripped off. These people know their stuff and are very good at what they do. Highly recommended. Thanks guys, keep up the good work. I support the Real Hackney .

I've bought 6 bikes (3 nicked - eventually you learn) from LFC over the past 15 years and have always found Joe and his team incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about bikes, cycling, dealing with the thieves that want your bike. They helped me navigate my way through all things biking over the years. If you are looking for the knowledge and a capable team, then I would recommend LFC.

Just realised my description didn't get posted... I went into London Fields Cycles one Friday evening (quite a while ago now), just before the shop was due to close in a bit of a mess. I needed help with changing a tire so I could use my turbo trainer and also help to change the pedals on my bike that I struggled to do myself.
The lady who helped me was amazing! So friendly and kind about my lack of bike knowledge. She patiently showed me how to change a tire and also changed my pedals. Not only that, she also helped fix my new shoes and cleats! I am SO grateful for the kindness you showed me late on a Friday evening. Thank you!!!

just received some excellent help in this shop. ultimately they didn't have what I was looking for but listened carefully and gave excellent suggestions. don't you love it when people actually care about the thing they are selling and not just about selling it!!! great staff, great service!!

A really fantastic bike store for both sales and servicing.

Great value repairs and servicing - my last bill actually came in below the estimate.

The selection of Brompton folding bikes is particularly impressive and the support while choosing amazing. I spent at least three hours test riding multiple configurations before settling on my choice.

A really helpful and friendly store - I'd recommend it to anybody.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced.

The manager and engineer practically used bully tactics against me after I called them out for misquoting the cost to fit a rear wheel.

They changed the price of the components used in my repair. Added in unforseen costs that weren't mentioned originally. Then when I highlighted that the prices had changed / increased the manager literally stood there with his arms crossed and said "yeah".

Completely disagreeable, rude, intimidating and unhelpful staff, and an overpriced service.

I hope these guys go out of business soon, I feel ashamed to have their shop on my doorstep.

Normally good repairs, but if you pop in with just a flat tyre after 1030, or with any small repair same day service is just not possible. Couldn't even give me 10 mins time to collect later that day. Went elsewhere to the cycle shops near Broadway market.

I bought an inner tube and told the person behind the counter which size I needed. Once I got home and took it out the box I realised they'd given me the wrong size. When I took it back the staff were not very friendly and didn't even show basic courteous customer service like saying 'thank you' or 'goodbye'. I was the only person in the shop and left feeling that I wouldn't go back.

Avoid. Expensive yet incompetent mechanics and appalling customer service. Not recommended at all. Fitted wrong size chain ring on my bike this week. When the correct, larger chainring was finally fitted 4 days later, the chain size was not lengthened meaning that if I had a puncture I would not be able to remove my rear tyre! When I pointed this out to the staff, an added link was added while the staff openly smirked and sneered patronisingly in the workshop behind the counter. When I questioned the rationale for this plain oversight in the event of a puncture, I was told quite aggressively that I'd need to use a chain breaker and that was normal! The mechanic then returned my bike again after adding an extra link, wordlessly but with the customary sneer. No apologies were offered by the mechanic or the store owner. Massive waste of time and money. These guys are amateur pretenders.
