Today is London History day! London Mutual Credit Union has had incredible growth since it's humble beginnings in 1982 with around 350 members, and fastforward to 2018 where we have merged with six other local Credit Unions to provide loans and services to over 27,000 members. ­¤ś»
We could not have acheived this without the support from everyone in our local community, so a special thank you to all of you.­¤æŹ --- The Credit Union Movement traces its origins to 1849 Germany and Fr...iedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen, who wanted to help people out of debt and poverty. This inspired people all across the world including London.

I've had a savings account with LMCU for almost a year now. My savings come straight from my wages so I don't even see them to miss them! Recently opened a current account and it is a breath of fresh air. I get a text when I spend money with exactly how much I have left in my account that is expendable. Whenever I have had to call up the staff have been nothing but friendly, wished me a lovely day and it is amazing to speak to a small company who really do put their customers first.



My only complaint is that the app and websire are very basic - and that bank transfers arw not instantaneous out. However I deem this a very small price to pay for a fantastic company who are not in it for profit. Thank you LMCU.

Highly recommended - great place to get an affordable loan and will save you loads conpared to high cost lenders such as The Provident and payday lenders

Great way to save and get very cheap loans if you need one. Not a bank it's a financial co-operative. All profits go back to it's shareholders (the people) or back to the local community. You don't have to be in work to get a current account you can have your benefits paid in. I'd never had any savings in my life until I joined the Credit Union, I now have a nice little nest egg for the first time to offset any emergency that comes along. Money wise I have never looked back since I joined.

I've never regretted my decision to switch from a mainstream bank to the LMCU Current Account. Some aspects of the online banking service are a little more manual but it's a small price to pay for a clear straightforward ethical service.

Excellent interest rate and the most helpful way of banking

Why is it so hard to get hold of them I've messaged emailed and tryed calling lines down

We haven't had a dividend in over 3 years so I wonder who is benefiting from the profits, certainly not the "shareholders" The service is worse than the post office, on average you will have to wait over an hour to deposit your money, and while making an enquiry on the phone you might be lucky if you are answered after 45 minutes.

The worst service ever!!!! Total joke!!!
