We came to the Foo Fighters concert on Saturday night and it was amazing!! Since we booked the tickets my son had to have surgery on his knee and to help us get him around he had his crutches and a wheelchair!!

Your stewards could not have been anymore helpful from fast tracking us in, changing our seats so he didn’t have to climb a huge number of stairs and keeping the wheelchair safe whilst we enjoyed the concert!!

All in all you did as much as you could to ensure we had the best experience possible so thank you very very much ï؟½ï؟½

User

To manage the crowds as they for Foo Fighters staff deserve a clap. I was an early arrival joining the scrum for Golden Circle tickets, and couldn’t believe what staff had to do to try and keep order on the pitch. I couldn’t fault the event management in any respect, getting in, once in and then back to Stratford station. I saw more staff than I have any any previous venue, and I have been to some big events. Toilets plentiful and reasonably clean throughout the concert. Litter collection took place regularly by us. Of course, the cost of drinks is too expensive and that would be my only gripe and why not five stars.

User

Yeah not bad for the number of people, biggest issue in the world today - plastic! So not only am I not allowed to take any kind of reusable water container in the stadium, I have to buy a plastic bottle of water in the stadium which then gets emptied into a plastic cup, same goes for all the plastic bottles of beer sold! Were you not watching blue planet or were you asleep as West Ham had a home game!

User

The venue has the potential to be truly world class but its let down by several things.

Firstly, parking is not clear or easy and much better information should be issued with tickets.

Secondly, the waste of plastic is obscene. For over three pounds you can purchase a small bottle of water which is decanted into a plastic cup. Needless to say by the end of the gig we had to wade out through knee deep cups.

But the thing which spoiled my experience was the fact it took an hour and a half to get back to my car which was less than ten minutes walk away. Two of my party (myself included) have mobility issues and became quite unwell due to the lengthy waits which were caused solely by your security staff stopping and starting the flow of people.

Even when we became distressed and asked for assistance to get back to our car where we both had fairly urgently required medication your staff refused to help, instead directing us to follow the rest of the crowd as our car 'was only five minutes away'. From that point it took us thirty minutes to get to the car by which point I could not physically walk without significant assistance.

We had to stop on the way home as I was in so much physical pain from the unnecessary extra time on my feet that I was vomiting.

While the venue and event were brilliant, I will not return without significant assurances that I would not be subjected to the same system again. I understand that the volume of people makes things difficult but your staff made matters infinitely worse and were very unsympathetic to the physical distress of their guests. Furthermore I would advise any of my friends with mobility issues or disabilities to avoid your venue.

Also I have to ask what would happen in the event of an emergency evacuation. I dread to think.

User

Stadium was great, event was awesome, BUT more signage needed to where the car parks are from main roads AND if you are going to have a no food policy (which I understand) you HAVE to cater for everyone. There was no allergy information available on any stands, I don't want to queue for 15 mins or more just to find out if I can have anything or have to explain why I can't have something. Only thing available to me in the end was chips. Would have been a very long day otherwise.

User

Sound for concerts is awful - avoid unless you like constant reverb and echo. Ok to get to and to get in - don't take any kind of bag. Huge queues for any type of food or drink. Took over an hour to get back to Stratford station - massive crowds corralled into one walkway.

User

It's a shame that even though we had pre-booked tickets, we had to queue for ages because of strict security checks! Why not just have metal detectors?

Secondly, we ordered 330ml Bulmers cider from one of the bars twice and they weren't in a functioning fridge so they were warm. When we asked for ice they said they had none! You can't serve warm cider with no ice! The second time we tried to buy cider from another bar, I refused to pay so I left the drinks with barman. My friend went to another bar (a cocktail bar) and asked for ice for the cider and they charged us آ£1 !!!

What a joke! Nobody likes warm cider or beer! You need to organise yourselves because us like many, won't be rushing back to this venue.

User

How can you run out of wristbands when you know how many people are attending the show?! And you assign a bridge number, then give a turnstile entrance that is round the complete other side of the stadium. Missed the beginning of Beyoncأ© and Jay-Z because of this absolute shambles of an organisation. Plus security were putting 'bags searched' tags on bags they hadn't even glanced in. I'll be sticking to Wembley in future.

User

Foos were the gods bolloxs.

But I wasn’t too impressed with the sound quality and i had to go back to the entrance as the staff failed to give me a proper blue wrist band so that I could enter the standing area.

BUT the most upsetting was the amount of wasted plastic. Hello has London stadium missed the meeting which said the majority of people don’t want to see one use plastic anymore. Utter disgrace what a waste. Offer deposit and refund for giving back at the end of the gig, happy environment, happy clear up staff, everyone happy, no?

User

Went to see GnR last year (who were awesome!) getting to the venue and getting in was fine but this all changed at the end of the gig....

We were all kettled like rioting football fans and marched along a specified route that was the long way round and led us to the wrong station! I needed the loo badly but wasn’t allowed to go before leaving the stadium it was horrible. It was like there was an assumption we’d all kick off for some reason.

London stadium needs to learn the difference between managing opposing football fans and happy concert goers. I go to a lot of gigs and this is the first time I’ve been treated like this

User

Water fountains NOT available on Event Days, but are every other day ............. in this heat???? I travel from outside of London to support GB Athletics and love to do so........BUT come on this is beyond belief... 30 degrees plus today. The athletics were amazing, but having bought merchandise to support the cause.......... then spend nearly آ£30 on water alone, because you decide you can........... totally shocking!! PLEASE RETHINK THIS........ we are happy to buy merchandise/food/other drinks BUT WATER when the fountains are there already???? Reverse this policy please and fast.............

User

The venue itself is a great concert venue the sound was fantastic; however to run out of beer on the pitch and to have to go out of the arena to the concourse and then be charged آ£34 for 5 drinks (not even pints) is crazy!

Then at the end of the gig we had to queue like cattle all the way back to the tube station with all the people who needed the car parks and the train station! I know that none of these out of town venues are easy to get in and out of but this one was particularly bad!!!

Thankfully the gig was more than worth it....

Please sort out your pricing and your exit strategy.....heaven forbid you ever get attacked there is no way you could guarantee people’s safety if they were making their way out.....

User

Seriously made us walk half way round the damned stadium to use the “correctâ€‌ bridge only to have to walk all the way back round it once on concourse to find our turnstyle, which it turns out isn’t a turnstyle it’s just a set of stairs to standing area. The bloody band had already started, it wasn’t like we were in amongst 80k people so why couldn’t we just use any bridge to get us in quickly??? And not one of the people “helpingâ€‌ were helpful, polite or courteous until we got inside and found a very lovely lady. Being told “you should try leaving earlierâ€‌ by some dickhead guarding a road closure after we spent the best part of 5 hours doing a 1.5 hour journey wasn’t appreciated either. Won’t be back. Horrible venue, surly unfriendly staff, and fuck all parking. Spent half an hour trying to find the shopping centre car park but they’d closed half the surrounding roads and no signs for anything, lots of very frustrated and angry people as a result of huge traffic jams going nowhere.

User

Saw Beyonce and Jay Z which was a good concert. Venue is ok, but the treatment to get out is diabolical.

Sent the wrong way out of the park even though we clearly stated it was the wrong way, it then took an hour to get to the car park (after being kettled) and we are still unable to exit said car park 70 minutes later.

You need to go to Wembley and learn how to run an event and get people out of your events properly.

Clearly run by a bunch of idiots.

User

If you have trouble walking, or climbing stairs or can't walk that far then DON'T go to London Stadium. Not sure how they treat people with blue badges, but unfortunately I can't get one.

The majority of the security and ground staff are rude, unhelpful and unfriendly.

Will not go there again.

User

Foo Fighters were totally amazing, but the stadium and security staff were awful. All the info said to plan your way home, which we did, but nothing stated you couldn’t return to the gates to get to pudding mill lane station. Ended up separated from the other members of party. People jumping over barricades and dreadful security guards. We were sent on a route right around the stadium which had people walking from all directions and automatic road security kerbs in the upright position added to the confusion and was far from safe!!! Pretty poor venue.

User

Dreadful stadium run by money people without so much thought for any fan attending. Insufficient food and catering (especially beer). Insufficient toilets, verging on inhumane n scuffles breaking out due to the queues and lack of facilities. Poor access to and from standing area. Unfortunately gonna have to endure this awful place again for the Foo fighters. My advice either have a few drinks before n after. Go to the toilet before you get in and ultimately go and see your band elsewhere. Truely god awful place. No wonder the West Ham fans hate it

User

Don’t know what’s happened since the Olympics when it was brilliantly, seamlessly run... whoever is managing it now needs to do some serious listening to event-goers and learning from them and other venues...

Firstly better, clearer information about the parking situation would have been helpful, who knew access to Westfield car park would be closed??

Then ticket labelling... what’s going on there??? Sent to Bridge 5, a really long walk from Stratford station, then once in sent all the way back round to turnstile K and went through only to find my block was back the way I’d just come, much nearer turnstile J. So needless extra time and stress spent fighting way past queues for beer and food on the outside and then again on the inside, insane!!!

Then went to buy food, massive signs encouraging payment by contactless, only, after ages in queue and waiting for food, to be told that is was cash only as card machines had stopped working!

Asked for a water, to be told they’d have to pour it into another plastic cup, â€کis that ok?’, no it’s not!!! In this day and age with everyone trying to cut down on single use plastic it is actually disgusting!! I’ve been used to having the lids of bottles removed so they can’t be used as missiles but why not that here? Tell you what, if bottled water is too dangerous just pour us some tap water into a â€کsafer’ open plastic cup for free!!!

Finally after queueing for 20 mins to get beer and cider, told cider run out... at least upon pressing the issue, someone this time did show a little customer service and carried out my request to go to the next door kiosk and get a wine for me instead, I wasn’t going to queue for a third time only not to be able to get what I wanted. However, would have been much nicer if they’d have done it from the back Staff doors not pushing me into the queue in front of equally pissed off looking customers!!!

Thankfully once in seats the Foos did the job and totally rocked the stadium, and sound in the gods was better than Wembley. But certainly won’t be rushing back to the London Stadium in a hurry. Hugely disappointing and not a great legacy from our previously well- run Olympic venue.

Where possible I’ll always go for the O2, much better run and all round more pleasant experience...

User

Absolute fail London Stadium! Even small handbags not being allowed in. Understand the need for extra security, but you’ve only provided a teeny cloakroom which is cash only with nearest cash point miles away?!?!???? There’s now a massive queue for the cloakroom and 100s of people who paid آ£90++++ queuing to get into concert!
