Getting results today? Here’s Assistant Principal Alison’s top pieces of advice: 1) No matter what - congratulate yourself. It’s tough getting through Post 16 education. Survival in itself is an achievement. 😍 2) Get advice - speak to your parents, teachers and other college staff. We’ve all been through it so we know how you’re feeling. 🤗 3) Don’t fall into the comparison trap with friends. Turn off WhatsApp group chats if that helps. You’re unique and everyone’s story is di...fferent. Focus on your own goals. 💪🏽 4) Not achieved what you’d hoped for? Don’t worry - it’s a buyers market and there will be plenty of options for you through the clearing process. 💻 5) Ultimately there will be better days and worse days in your life. On Tuesday, we opened our doors for our annual Next Step Longley Student Conference. Over 200 applicants came along to sample what Longley Park is like. Along with lessons, they enjoyed table tennis, street food and learning about all the ways we can help them to become the best version of themselves. The GLITCH exhibition at Art House, Sheffield, showcasing work from artists studying at Longley Park Sixth Form College opened on Wednesday 6th of June and will run until Thursday 14th of June.
The work exhibited spans the disciplines of fine art, fashion, media, photography and 3D. Glitch will be curated by the A-Level and UAL students who will be present to talk about the work on display. The pieces demonstrate the high lev...el of skill involved in creating such thought provoking artwork as well as the independence, risk-taking and imagination of the artists involved.
The exhibition will be open from 6th-14th of June 2018 11am-3pm at Art House Sheffield, 8 Backfields, S1 4HJ. VIP Viewing – Friday 8th June 7-9pm.

For the last 5 weeks, a group of our students have been participating in a weekly yoga class taught by top yoga teacher Mark Davies. Mark specialises in teaching yoga to men through his own brand of 'MOGA'. We're so proud of the dedication and maturity that our students have demonstrated during this five week programme. The students selected were first year Sport students. We will shortly be rolling MOGA out to students across the college. More reasons#longleypark is awesome 😊💪🙏🏽

It is the best place to study

I want to thank Longley for all the opportunities they have given to me . I have stepped down from being a Student Governor tonight and was honoured to have a meal with staff. I am absolutely heartbroken I am leaving as I feel o have grown so much as a person through various opportunities offered such as student/community ambassador. The members of staff have been wonderful and always there when I needed them for help or a chat ,not to mention the amazing Berlin trip . This is one of the best places I could have studied,would really recommend.

I used to attend this college back in 2010 till 2011 nearly 2012. I left due to personal problems but when I was there it was the best college to go too. I had a a student support worker who supported me through alot and also introduced me to the councillor that was there. All the staff were really nice back then. I think alot of them have left now though. If I could turn back time I'd deffo go back :)

I love this college because it has a great standard of education . the peoples study in the college are very good and kind and even there are polite with each other. I have got lots of friends in this college in which they are male and female. The study in the college is outstanding. People like Asian and Arabic speak the second language who are born in Sheffield or Where ever they belong to they can also learn their first language here. There are not any sort of restriction to anyone in this college. I will study in this college for four years and in four years. I will spread this college with justice and love. . Always be loyal to this college and country. Love for All Hatred for None. I will give five star rating to this college.



In this statement I forgot to add one point that was I have respect for everyone and I want people respect everyone whether belong to any ethnicity, religion, cast and background. We all are human beings first then religion and We have to respect the people. If you won’t respect people. People won’t respect you so respect everyone and spread peace love and justice. Love For All Hatred for none.

Great college

Amazing college . Everyone works so hard to ensure all students are supported in and out of lesson . I had the pleasure to be part of the science department - full of hardworking and conscientious teachers that work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that all students are achieving their full potential . Amazing students and amazing teachers !

Could have been better. Don't communicate with students as much as they should have and if you get bullied, then nothing much gets done. Needs to be improved!!!!

Went to my awards night where they was showing all of the last year's music videos, posters, short films.

Played everyone elses but mine and another students then made an excuse up!

Went there feeling happy about showing my music video left feeling as though my work wasn't good enough!

Teachers and staff don't care. Students can do whatever they want and the teachers won't mind. Waste of time going to this college.
