Loni Loftus Companion Animal Behaviourist

Animal behaviourist and trainer based in Bedale, North Yorkshire specialising in horse, dog and cat referrals.

Loni holds a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science and an MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare. Loni has worked in equine training and behaviour for over 10 years and continues to practice as an animal behaviourist taking on both dog and cat cases in addition to her equine specialism. Loni works as an education consultant for Central Veterinary Services and lectures for a number of colleges and universities in Animal science, behaviour and welfare. She writes for a number of academic journals as well as continuing her active involvement in behaviour and welfare research. Loni's interests are based around injury, disease, rehab, behaviour and welfare with current research in the areas of equine euthanasia and stress in animals at public events.
Loni is secretary for the Veterinary Wound Healing Association, her wound management interest stems from her rehab work and current projects see her developing research in the area of new products and their application in veterinary wound care as well as the ethics and welfare considerations surrounding veterinary treatment.
