Looe Caravan And Motorhome Club Site

Rude Staff, Clean Site. There separate staff were rude and oppositional from the moment we arrived without us feeling we had a real welcome. The response was they were busy but we've been to much bigger (non motorhome and caravan sites whereby we have received an expected welcoming check in). Other users of the site also divulged in similar treatment. The site is well maintained, the facilities are good, personally love the fact there is no club house however they do rotate bbq's and fish and chip nights etc. There is enough for children to do whilst on site all in one area. The pool is warm and nicely laid out however disappointing that there are no toilets/showers accessible a little bit of a problem when you have a child needing to go. Plus it does mean you see a lot of people walking around with bathers/towel to the centre shower block (which you can't really politely cut through) not a major deal breaker. There are adult only sessions 10-11:30 but unfortunately the children's shallow pool was also closed for cleaning during this time. It would be beneficial for the pool to be open earlier. The pool is supervised with facilities to purchase goggles/swim aids and refreshments which is good. The pitches are regimented so some are better than others whereby you have space for a wind sheild and bbq but mostly space is restricted so there is very little grass area. We were OK on a corner bit it's luck of the draw there is no facility to book your pitch so if you turn up with friends it's most likely you won't be able to be next to them. A bonus to the whole holiday if you like to eat together/share resources or have children.

Great campsite which is kind of split in two. Lots of grass pitches at the top and then hard standing further down. Site is well kept and usual CC facilities all to a high standard. Also has a park and pool. Good area to explore with Bus route at front gate. Visiting food vans through the week on our visit.

Great site in walking distance from Looe but the walk back is fairly strenuous. Site is on slope so bring plenty of blocks to help level the caravan. Avoid pitch 65 which we chose (my mistake) It's under a eucalyptus tree which was shedding leaves and seeds constantly in August which are like small marbles. You can imagine the sound on caravan/awning roof

Very nice site, grass pitches are not very level, you definitely need blocks to get your unit level, the wardens were very helpful in getting my caravan sited.
Very clean site, well maintained, thanks.

The place is very clean, staff are nice and great spots for caravans. Also nice security stopping anyone driving in.

A very friendly welcome from the wardens, into a beautiful clean and well run site.
Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.
My only reservation was the number of people walking closely past to our caravan on the way to the facilities block. It was quite intrusive. The answer could be to create a central path to cross the 8 rows of caravans that other campers dodged between en route to the facilities, whilst trying to avoid eye contact as they scurried past. ( We were on pitch 56)..

We had arrived after a 3 hour trip by kevin the warden which was a bit rude about where we needed to park not what we needed after the long journey.just come back from a week on this site ,immaculate toilet facilities, the coddy shack is a must great food. A bit of a trek down into looe the plus side is its down hill going and taxi or bus back !!!!!!!

A well run site.very crowded, in August. This is not the place for those seeking peace and quiet.FAcilities are good.
Looe is nice, the near beaches are not.the sand is grey and akin to rubble.north Cornwall is much superior.Dog lovers need to be careful where they visit.
