to ex-service men and woman and where applicable spouses /partners.

We pride ourselves on providing holiday experiences to rival any other either at or below the minimum income level.

At present the fees payable by guests can be kept low thanks to the donations and sponsorship received from several major service charities, principally:
ABF The Soldiers' Charity
(was known as Army Benevolent Fund)
Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund
Seafarers UK
(was known as King George's Fund for Sailors)

Set in an impressive mid-nineteenth century building overlooking the gardens and sea we offer ten twin rooms all with ensuite bathrooms
and finished in modern and contemporary furnishings. As standard we offer half board accommodation with a very popular menu
including a 3 course evening meal and 5 courses available for breakfast all served in our large air conditioned dining room.

There are three public lounges, two hold 40 inch flat screen TV’s with Freeview and a third quieter reading room.
We have an extensive collection of books free to use by all guests.

Enviably located directly onto Lowestoft Seafront we enjoy stunning sunrises and warm afternoons during the summer with benches and parasols
providing an ideal place to talk and relax. Kitchener’s is ten minutes from Lowestoft Town Centre accessible by either public transport or walking.

Open from April through to October holidays. Full weeks, short breaks and Bed & Breakfast only is available.

**Breaking news**
We are proud to announce that following a change we requested with the Charity Commission we are able to welcome a wider range of guests ...now those men and women who have served in our emergency services, fire, police and ambulance are able to stay at Kitcheners along with their partners,
The price is the same as our non-service guests as at present we are not partnered with any benevolent funds.

Wonderful service this morning for Remembrance Sunday. Thank you to all on parade, who stood proudly throughout the ghastly weather.
We thank those Past, Present and Future for your Service.

Last night was our 98th Annual Meeting. We were delighted to welcome our Patron Lady Emma Kitchener and her Husband Lord Julian Fellowes. With George Hawes stepping in as Chairman and Bryan Lunn giving a rather entertaining address to those invited.
Lady Emma was welcomed by Lowestoft Air Cadets who were as usual beautifully turned out.
Huge thanks to all who joined us and of course to Steve and Lorraine who once again put on a fabulous evening.

Whenever people talk about Kitcheners, they always talk about seeing the Chelsea Pensioners in their iconic Scarlet's. This morning, they did a little photo shoot for us! (Photo - Denise Brady Photography)

When personal circumstances changed The Lord Kitchener Holiday Centre was there to put me up for almost 5 weeks. A truly amazing place. Clean, comfortable and warm throughout. Great hosts in Lorraine and Steve, who looked after me throughout my stay. Food excellent. I've recommended Kitchener's to all my ex-military friends as a great place to stay. Thank you so much for your hospitality xx

What a hidden, and all too unknown, gem for veterans and their families. I am in the latter part of a week-long stay at Kitchener's and cannot speak highly enough of the facility.

The rooms are beautiful, the facilities excellent (with a reading room and 2 television rooms, the staff delightful and the breakfasts delicious. I am just on a B&B so cannot speak to the dinners but am advised by other guests that they are wonderful too.

This is a quiet facility with friendly staff and guests and would not be suitable for those wishing to party on site but, being on the waterfront, there are numerous options for those who would like to test the local ales.

The beach is 40 m away, the town a little less than a mile's stroll along the promenade.

Highly, highly recommended for those whose service makes them eligible.

We were lucky enough to spend 4 days of our holiday there, and I cannot praise Loraine and Steve enough, not forgetting the staff who provided a fantastic service, There is not a better place to spend your holiday in Lowestoft, 5 star service, 5 star food,5 star location and 5 star company, all this and only 40 meters from the beach.

WE WILL BE BACK, !!! (If permitted) lol
