***CLOSED*** Lorelei is a beautiful bar & restaurant set in the lovely village of Tynemouth. The lavish decor sets the standard for your night ahead, with glamorous booths, antique wood walls and trees that hold up the ceiling you are sure not to forget this place in a hurry.
The exquisite menu was hand crafted by our Head Chef, Marc Lawlor, who after many years in the business has honed his skills in all areas of the kitchen. With this knowledge he has produce a menu which compliments both the strong sea roots of the area and also the very fertile pastures of the Northumberland countryside. From mouthwatering Lobster Thermidor to several different cuts of 28 day aged steaks this menu will not disappoint.
The cocktail lounge boasts an extensive menu, with carefully selected wines and bottled lagers and a selection of some home grown real ales. Our cocktail list is second to none, with some classic cocktails being given a Lorelei twist as well as some of our own unique creations.

We loved little Lorelei club. Fantastic kids menu, ESP the homemade mini burgers followed by cookies and milk.
Visited last night - I had the king prawns tempura starter and the swordfish for main - very impressed, particularly the swordfish (with roast potato, cauliflower, samphire and lemon butter) thoroughly enjoyed it! Really nice interior and good service. I will be back :) x

A fantastic atmosphere and great staff.. The food was to die for, in fact I've chosen to come here for my birthday night out :) excellent!
Never walked out of a restaurant and not paid before! Being honest and talking to customers costs nothing, avoiding them and not being truthful costs drinks, starters, a bad review and no repeat custom. When there is a problem with the kitchen tell your customers who have turned up, who had booked in advance and if need be turn customers away rather than providing bad service!
