The “unglamorous” side of running your own business. It’s not really unglamorous, it’s actually super important. Being a florist isn’t all pretty flowers and foliage, there’s lots of behind the scenes emails, ordering, buying and researching that goes in to every wedding I create. Not that that’s supposed to sound like a complaint, I love every single aspect of it! I like getting to know my brides/grooms, I like writing out order lists, I love researching exactly what blooms... are going to bring your vision to life and I even enjoy trying to source particular hardware for your big day - if I don’t have it currently, you’d better believe I will go all out to try and find it for you! The wonderful Katie & Jon got married last summer at Pendrell Hall. . The colour scheme for their flowers was pastel blue, blush pink and grey which allowed me to work with some beautiful materials. Pale blue hydrangea, sweet avalanche roses, blue delphinium, pink O'Hara roses, astilbe, gypsophila and the show stopping Earl Grey roses! Katie had visited a wedding show where I was exhibiting. I had some Earl Grey roses in some arrangements and she really liked them so we decid...ed to feature them in her wedding flowers too. They really are something special! . Katie and Jon had a beautiful outdoor ceremony so I was able to decorate the bandstand at Pendrell Hall with some beautiful arrangements that were made in situ to ensure the dimensions and overall look were correct. . Katie bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet and hand tied bouquets of gypsophila. All the bouquets had long satin ribbons in ivory and blush pink. . I designed a mixture of tall and short table centrepieces for their wedding breakfast. Some table had tall conical vases with a large display of flowers on top and others had mixed vases containing the same varieties of flowers. . Hello everyone!
We had a wonderful time last week at The Mill Barns for their Experience Events. It was so lovely to meet so many of you and chat to you all about your plans for your weddings.
We have also received lots of lovely enquiries for consultations, which I am trying to reply to as quickly as possible. There is a slight delay with response due to having to wait to have dates/times confirmed. Weekend appointments are filling up very quickly! 🌷🌿🌸

So...my lovely little business is a whole 9 years old today. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am. At the age of 13 I always dreamt of opening my own flower shop. I always viewed it as just that, a dream. I never thought it would actually happen! 9 years ago today the doors of Love Flowers opened and even though I no longer run a shop, I still run the same business but just specialising in wedding flowers. I am so lucky that I get to do what I do. I have a genuine pas...sion for flowers and a true love for my job. I guess I’m just trying to say thank you, but thank you really doesn’t cut it. I need to thank you a million times over! My friends and family have been a solid source of support throughout, high times and lows and I couldn’t have done it without them. To every single one of my customers, you are all superstars! You are the reason I get to do what I do and I cannot thank you enough! Everyone that has liked, shared or recommended my business too, you are all so wonderful!
