Bonjour! I am a bilingual French-English speaker who works as a French tutor in Chester and the surrounding area. I thoroughly enjoy supporting people of all ages to develop their French language skills and to explore the cultures of French-speaking countries.

My approach to language teaching is practical, playful, immersive and fun.

In addition to more traditional tried and tested language learning techniques, my classes involve more creative approaches such as learning in situ and learning by doing. These can include role-plays, games, visits and walks that get you out and about and putting your French skills into practice.

My aim is to build your confidence and ability to communicate effectively in French in a way that you enjoy and find productive. I recognise the importance of helping you set and reach achievable short-term and long-term goals.

I tailor classes in response to your objectives, level, interests and how you learn best.

I am passionate about building people’s skills and supporting them to learn and develop in the direction they wish to. I appreciate how useful and satisfying it is to be able to communicate in a foreign language and to connect with people from other countries and cultures via a common language.

I have experience teaching French and English as foreign languages both 1-to-1 tutoring and in classroom settings.

I grew up in France, Switzerland and England. I have lived, studied and worked in more than five different French speaking countries over a period of 9 years.
