Beautiful campsite, abs especially if you get plot 210!...right next to the Lake!

Beautiful, natural property with lots of lovely pitches. Fairly spread out over different types of areas(lakeside, meadow and woodland) facilities were clean and maintained. The staff were lovely and reception has plenty of supplies like dairy, bacon, eggs, basic snacks and a selection of camping supplies if needed. Extra wood and coal are a bonus! The only issue I had was that pitches can have a lot of natural gravel underground making staking a challenging task. Otherwise 5 ⭐️!!

Good campsite but the booking system is pants. We were told Vick's was full but all weekend there were gaps! Come on NT improve your IT.

What a place! Fantastic location, just a short (beautiful) walk to the Ferry stop at Wray Castle, well stocked little shop and clean shower blocks. The staff are friendly and went out of their way to help, even for an annoying pest like me. We camped on the lake side and had a great view, watching the sun set through the trees and reflecting on Lake Windermere with a beer is something I could get used to.
We will be back, and next time we are going to try camping in the Forrest! That looks fun!

I could not ask for a better place to camp. Song birds galore, great service, great facilities! One of the few campsites to have such great standards! Stick to National Trust campsites!

We have stayed here twice now and love it but the last time we played extra for lake view pitch, nearly 100pounds for 3 nights is quite expensive but we thought it worth it but this time was disappointed as a few family's pitched together and were quite noisy which is ok after all we are all on holiday but the drinking carried on well after 2.00am until we just fell asleep. My point is their is no staff I know of on duty the shop is closed really early and anyone having problems have to report it the day after. At some point I guess something could happen as someone ask them to be quiet and things get nasty who from low stay would be there to sort the problem out?? The fami!y also had a dog and was messing all over late at night as was roaming around and no fun walking to toilets and showers avoiding dog mess. Come on low wray it's a good site that could be sooo much better if the shop was open longer not just a few hours a day morning and Afternoon and give every camper at least a number when booking in for reporting problems if they arise.....
