‼️IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL LOWER MILL CUSTOMERS‼️
Due to information that we have received today regarding changes to the inoculation data sheet, we are now changing our policy in accordance with this... Please be advised that all dogs must have had their vaccination and kennel cough at least 3 WEEKS prior to their holiday. Any less than this and we will be unable to accept them. Please message us on here, email us or telephone us should you have any queries.

We left our little 22 week old kitten Charlie while we were away.

The staff are kind, knowledgable and have a fantastic way with the animals. It’s comfort to know he would be well looked after.

It’s also lovely to see photos of your pet when you’re away.

Lower Mill was recommended to me and I would recommend to others.

We have two dogs that we take to Lower Mill, Pippa who just loves everything and everyone and Lottie, who is the complete opposite. Because of the extensive surgery that Lottie had to undergo during her first year, we weren’t able to socialise her as much as is needed. Consequently, she became an extremely nervous and timid young dog, terrified of anyone she didn’t know. We knew we had to get her used to kennels at some stage and we were recommended to try Lower Mill. Although Lottie was extremely timid at first we can’t believe how relaxed she now is when we take her there with Pip. Thank you so much to everyone at Lower Mill for putting Lottie at ease and making their stay enjoyable.

We have just picked our boy Wid up from his first holiday at Lower Mill and he has had a lovely time.



As an old boy with a few medical issues; we were really apprehensive but the staff from the moment we spoke to them regarding our concerns have been fantastic.

We have been bringing both our dogs and cats to Lower Mill for over 20 years now and have always been pleased with the excellent care that they have received. We were particularly impressed with the love and attention given to our 19 year old cat Henri, who as well as being elderly and on medication, only has 3 legs. He was a very happy cat when we collected him. Thank you to all the staff at Lower Mill.

We collected Tilly our Cairn from Lower Mill today after another holiday there. The staff clearly love her and she loves them too🐶they are kind, caring and very attentive. Tilly gets very excited as soon as we drive down the flowery approach to the kennels. We wouldn’t send her anywhere else! We LOVE seeing her photos on Facebook and Instagram and seeing her so happy as we always miss her so much.

This is long overdue as we have been using Lower Mill for the past 2 years! We have been nothing but impressed with the care they have given to our beloved Huckleberry on the many occasions that he has boarded; anything from a night upto 17 nights. Nothing can beat having peace of mind when you are away from your four legged family member, we cannot recommend Lower Mill highly enough!

So happy to be taking my dog here! He is a nervous and difficult soul and I have been met with professionalism, understanding, competence and knowledge. A great service, friendly staff, lovely surroundings, great care.....I cannot thank Mette and her team enough. Would highly recommend.

Our two dogos � Cooper and Bo stayed at Lower Mill for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. (Almost tempted to say they’d have stayed on for longer!) Thank you to the team for looking after the two nutcases so well. Hopefully you’ll allow the fur babies back in the future. ���x

Our dog Buster thoroughly enjoys his stays at Lower Mill and staff clearly love the animals they care for. Each time we go away, he happily trots off and we are able to have a holiday with the peace of mind that comes with knowing Buster will be happy and well cared for. He has already stayed many times, and will continue to visit regularly.

My fur babies had their trial day today before their week holiday later on in the year when I get married, I was EXTREMELY nervous and anxious about leaving them as they have never been put in kennels before, however after speaking to the wonderful staff who took my boys straight on a walk on arrival while I was shown around the kennels and where they would be staying, I feel very relaxed in trusting all the lovely staff at Lower Mill! And now not having to worry when they go for their holiday, they left tails wagging and looks like that had a fabulous day today!!



Would recommend to everyone, no matter how big or small your dog is, they are very accommodating and have a real love for the animals�

My dogs had never been in kennels before. I was a little worried about leaving them but the staff were lovely and I knew they were in good hands. The dogs were clearly happy, they have had a lovely time and I would have no hesitation in recommending Lower Mill. Thank you for looking after my furbabies so well.

My dog had a 4 night stay. We were very apprehensive about this but the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and put our minds at rest, our dog is very grumpy and not the best at meeting new people, by the end of his stay the staff were able to pick him up and cuddle him so this speaks volumes on how good the staff are, we will def use them again on our next holiday. Thanks

Lower Mill Kennels are brilliant, they are caring to all the dogs and cats that go there. The staff make the pets stay there very enjoyable and always are very helpful. Loki stayed last weekend...... And I know he really enjoyed his stay because he actually ate his food �� this is a brilliant kennels, lovely careing staff and I had no hesitation booking our boy back in for two weeks in October. Thank you all for looking after our much loved pet for us.

I've just come home from my mini break to Lower Mills. I have to say, I've had such a fantastic time and made lots of new friends. I was so excited when I arrived, I started screaming and shouting five miles before we arrived on Friday because I was looking forward to my mini break so much!!! Everybody was so kind to me and took such good care of me xxxx

I would highly recommend Lower Mill, they really care for your pets, would not book my holiday without checking first that our lovely cat Tess is able to stay with them. Superb and lovely staff ��

I highly recommend Lower Mill. Archie has recently been for his second stay there. Staff are really friendly and understand your anxieties about leaving your beloved pets so readily offer reassurance and compassion. I can tell Archie loves it there and has the best care which means I can go on holiday and not be worried about him back home ...so we're both having a good time...win/win! �

I hate leaving my dogs when we go away, but everyone is so friendly.

I think the staff genuinely love all the residents....Taking time to ensure each dogs’ individual needs are met and responding quickly to anxious messages, with a reassuring reply.

First time my 16month old German Shepherd has been in kennels so I was a bit apprehensive. Had a 9 night stay. Staff very friendly & seemed happy to be working there, which reflects on the boarders who get lots of care & attention & regular walks/exercise. Cassie looked well & appeared to be happy enough when we picked her up.
