Lower Wensleydale Caravan And Motorhome Club Site

Nice site just outside a small town (walking distance - there is a leaflet showing the way via country lanes and footpaths so avoiding walking along the pavement by the road). Small waterfall directly across main road with short path - good for short dog walk. The site is easily accessible with just a short run of single track to the entrance but with visibility right up to the gate from the first right bend (after crossing the bridge and heading left). Clean and tidy site with several small areas separated from each other. Nicely sheltered from the winds off the valley. Good location.

Site location is lovely in an old quarry,closest pub is at the top of the hill the pheasant inn,didn’t try it,closet town/shops,Leyburn about 15 minute drive or a 25 min walk on a busy noisy road.
Highly recommend the sandpiper inn for food in Leyburn.

Site was very wet and pitch we were on was quite muddy(our choice tho so we could have awning)site is quite big although didn’t have to wait to use toilet or shower.

Entrance is fine as long as you take your time on decent and stick to arrival time (after 12)

Didn’t appreciate the lawn mower at 9am tho to be honest understand it needs doing etc,but not nice to be woken up by.

All in all would visit again but site does need a little tidy around pitches etc.

A nice site situated in what once was a quarry. Most pitches shaded by trees so you might have problems if your wanting to set up a satellite dish.
The toilet block is looking a bit dated now, but, clean and fully functional, with decent showers.
The site is a short walk into Leyburn which is a pleasant Village with plenty of pubs and cafe's to cater for most tastes. It has a decent sized Co-op for stocking up on provisions.
Between the Site and Leyburn is a station on the Wensleydale railway. The track runs across the edge of the site itself, although the trains are seldom and only pass quite slowly.

Great site with vans in hollows and in between trees and natural shrubs and vegetation. Loads of wildlife, ducks, rabbits, peacock!
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good facilities, mini shop etc. And walking distance to lovely market town. Even a little steam train.

Quiet and secluded. Showers and toilets a little dated

Beautiful site set in disused quarry with lots of wildlife.

Good location pitches on upper level need some TLC
