What a great place to wine and dine loved ones, very friendly staff, the food is great.

Had the sea bass fillets and they are the best i have had.

The food is great, the staff are friendly, polite and make you feel welcome.

Highly recommend this place if your ever visiting York and the prices are reasonable

We came in for coffee and a glass of wine and loved it. We've often walked past and said that we must try it. What kept us? We'll be back, maybe for afternoon tea. York and a feeling that you're in Italy. What a combination!

Superb food and drink, great service outside in the sun, came highly recommended and didn’t disappoint �

My partner chose Lucia’s for valentines night, after enquiring about booking a table and being told they did not take bookings we chanced it anyways. Arriving about 8:15 we were met by a friendly guy who told us there would be a 30-45 mins wait. I know the bar is nice so we decided to wait and go upstairs for a drink. We waited about 20 mins for our table. Once at the table the service was Efficient and lovely. The food was amazing and the whole dining experience was fab. The rose on the table was a lovely touch too. Had a fantastic night.

Me and my fella went york for a weekend away. And was recommended to eat here. And I would definitely return. The staff was friendly place was booming food was beautiful. I asked for something not on the menu and they was happy to oblige. I would honestly recommend anyone that like decent food to go here. And not too pricey either.

Love this place went last night there was a bit of a waiting time to get in but I didn't care as I really love the food and the atmosphere so went upstairs for a drink and then we got shown to our table which I was excited about as was seating outside! 5/5 guys I cannot fault this place staff, food, atmosphere amazing

I was visiting York for the day yesterday with my husband and our two sons ages six and three. My husband and I stumbled across this place a few years ago and always make a point of coming back each time we visit York. Yesterday was the first time we had our children with us but the staff were lovely with them. Even though the day was rainy and a bit chilly we sat in the outdoor area and were warm and dry thanks to the canopies and patio heaters! The food was delicious as always and the strawberry daiquiris were perfect too.

Had a 3 day trip to York and had a couple of excellent meals at Lucia’s. The service was very good, food very tasty, the restaurant is well set out and you feel that the surroundings are very intimate.

Great food and friendly staff we took our dog and they were great brought our dog a bowl of water straight away when we ordered our drinks will e going back very dog friendly

Fabulous find, fantastic tapas tried everything on the menu and loved it all!

Fab food, fab drinks, fab service. Sat outside to have tea and the heaters make you feel like you’re abroad. But if you’re still feeling a little cold they also provide blankets. Would definitely visit again

Booked short notice On a busy night with a large group of friends from Scandinavia, we ended up being late and loud throughout the service but the staff were very patient and accommodating. Nice tucked away location but very atmospheric. Would certainly recommend to people new to York. We were served the majority of the time by Emily. So thank you!

Been coming to Lucia’s for many years in York and watched it grow from strength to strength.. the venue is perfectly situated in and around a secluded courtyard and outside dining is fabulous in any weather as heaters are provided and throws to keep diners warm and there are canopies to keep the rain off... the inside is beautiful and stylish.. the staff are very friendly and helpful and very good at what they do.. the menu is brilliant and the choices of food are excellent. I can’t fault anything and neither can any diners I’ve recommended the restaurant to.. great food , great staff, great atmosphere, great music, great cocktails! I can’t say any more!

A fab, vibrant restaurant with yummy food, delicious cocktails and amazing staff. The restaurant had families, couples an girlie groups and me, Mum & my Sis had a fantastic meal. Not too expensive so didn’t feel spanked when it was bill time. Try the espresso martini & seafood linguine, you won’t be left wanting. Not much veggie choice with a meat-heavy menu but the fish is delicious. Deffo worth a visit�

Went for my daughter’s 30th birthday on Monday. There was a wait of nearly 40 mins but it was a bank holiday. The food was good but some of the order was forgotten so had to seek out the waitress which kind of spoilt the meal.

This was my 1st time visiting this place, lovely restaurant in a popular location. Drinks came quickly but the table we were seated at we felt a little squashed in 6 of us but table really was for a max of 4. Most of us ordered a burger which was really nice but what let the meal down was the chips not homemade (out of a bag) & the onion rings were (out of a bag) and not freshly made. Great company and day out so I may sound picky but that's my opinion that let the food down.

Friendly and attentive staff, great and ambient atmosphere. Starters were delicious. We ordered medium Tbone and rib eye steak for main dish....both were over cooked and too dry. I wasn’t expecting the carbon (C) for my steak!

We were looking forward to our visit here after reading reviews. However didn't get chance to sample food or drinks. We were seated and given both drinks and food menus. After about 15mins we had to ask for our drinks order to be taken as no one came, waitresses just kept walking past. Having order taken and waiting another 15 mins we upped and left and went elsewhere. It was Not busy and no excuse for waiting sooo long for our drinks. Walked in another popular bar and were served straight away with super food and service. We weren't particularly in any hurry for the food, but to wait half an hour for drinks in a bar that isn't busy is definitely very poor.
