Today we have welcomed a lovely new Lucky Ducky to our setting 😊 We have spent lots of time helping her settle in her new routines and we even managed a little visit to the farm! Happy Monday! 😊🦆🦆🦆🦆🥰 Sheldon Country Park

Yesterday we made Father’s Day cards for the lovely Daddies of our Lucky Duckies 😊 I didn’t post yesterday in case it spoiled the surprise! We also visited Hobs Moat Library and got some lovely new books to read 😊🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆

To go with our theme this week we have made a picture of a face....we practised cutting the parts out with scissors and gluing them and hair (noodles and pasta) on with gloopy glue. The results are quite an artistic delight! 😊🦆🦆🦆🦆

After a lovely morning at playgroup, we have been cutting and sticking ❤️🦆🦆🦆🦆😊

This week our topic is ‘Our body’ and our letter of the of the week is ‘O’
This morning so far we have counted out painted fingerprints onto a graph, started learning a new rhyme called ‘All of me’ and pointed out different parts of our bodies.
And now, we are off to playgroup! ❤️🦆🦆🦆🦆😊

We have had a lovely little visit to Hobs Moat Library, running into a couple of other wonderful childminders and their troupe, choosing new books and a bit of colouring in too. Luckily at the right place and right time....given several packs by the librarian from BookTrust, the children will enjoy taking them home to share 😍🦆🦆🦆🦆📚☺️ Today has really shown my little ones about the word ‘community’ 😊

To go along with our theme of the week ‘Our Community’, Lucky Ducky town has opened up several community based places to visit 😊😍🦆 We have a library, a police station and a doctors surgery....the kids have been eagerly awaiting for the time for them to open for the day! Let playtime commence! 😍🦆🦆🦆🦆

Yesterday we went out to the softplay area at Melbicks Garden Centre, part of The Blue Diamond Group to celebrate the birthday of one of my Lucky Duckies 🥳 We had a lovely active playtime and the children were all very tired afterwards! 😊🦆🦆🦆🦆

We have had a fantastic day, so much fun and adventure! We’ve walked the dog and found lost treasure along the way💎, painted and varnished stones, played tag in the garden, then stamping and colouring. Then this afternoon we went to Elmdon Park, had a picnic🧺🥪🍏, explored the undergrowth 🌳🌱🌿🍃, hid our own painted stones and found and re-hid others... Elmdon Rocks, the older ones climbed fallen trees and then we flew a kite! Phew! 😊🦆🦆🦆🦆 No one can top my working day for fun! 😍

One of my mindees found ‘treasure‘ this morning while we were having a walk.....💎

What a GLORIOUS morning! It’s beautiful and sunny and I’m looking after the most lovely little ones today 😊 So far, we have sent off some postcards that we made, sticking the stamps on ourselves and posting them, we have been to visit the polling station to cast our vote and then we carried on walking to the farm. We had a little play at the playground and it was so hot, there was no excuse not to have a little ice cream treat 😊

Looking forward to our animal themed ‘Big Toddle’ in aid of Barnardo’s 😊 The children will get medals and stickers for taking part and it makes me feel so happy that we can help other children whilst we are enjoying ourselves 😊 💷🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆
