We welcomed new faces and said a well-earned thank you to the LRS Marketing team at our Hunted style team day yesterday.

A great company one will be able to work and learn a lot,as a/an work/IT student i have learnt a lot that will help me in life.products produced over here is of good quality and of high standard.

User

this rating is for new version of Lucozade 'Orignal'- ditto others who said they'd give a zero if they could..... prior to sugar reduction, it would have been a 5. This rating could also be applied to those who made the decision to 'better customer health' by removing 'some' of the sugar. Please bring back ORIGINAL recipe and sell in glass bottles???

User

please don't ruin the only nice cordial drink by adding sweetners!! you already have a version with 'no added sugar' please keep the original WITH sugar also!!!!!

User

You've taken a national treasure and ruined it. You've lost millions of customers. Your drinks- Ribena, Lucozade and Orangina now taste worse than disgusting. You may have made millions from swapping sweetener (which is as cheap as chips) instead of natural sugar but you have in fact lost all of your loyal customers. They will go else where. I'd like to remind you of Coca Cola' change to their recipe- everyone hated it. They went back to their original ingredients.

You will lose money and if you have any business sense you will get rid of the sweetener and put back the sugar.

Stand by your product. Put up the price if you must but if you insist of keeping in the sweetener will lose millions of devoted customers.

User

You made a business decision, it was wrong.

Pull current line (no pun intended) and get production of original reciepe back online before it's too late. This is your businesses pivot point. Act now before you see the gradule decline of your business. Mark my words, please reconise if you don't act now, this is the beginning of the end.

User

Used to love Ribena but this company has made it undrinkable with the addition of artificial sweeteners. Add to this the fact that they were incredibly sly with informing customers of the recipe change, and you’ve lost yourselves many, many customers.

User

Same as these people, they've changed the recipe ignored their customers. When I drink a bottle of Ribena it has a bitter aftertaste that doesn't go away and you need water to actually get rid of it. On top of that Lucozade also tastes horrible.

They've got rid of strawberry Ribena and brought in a sugar free alternative which I will not touch. The main reasons for choosing Ribena was because it wasn't laced with sweeteners like Robinson's fruit juices are now they're basically the same as them me the consumer has no choice.

Jamie Oliver can go do one in my opinion not impressed! Would you do this to your drinks in Japan?

User

Lucozade was my favourite since childhood always had a nice flavour and gave you energy. Now the original orange and other flavours are horrible artificial sweetener based affairs. No thanks I have stopped buying this horrible watery disgusting lucozade until the moronic owners remove it and bring back the original sugar flavour. You have lost a lot of customers and will lose a lot more.

User

I’m actually disgusted at u for taking away my favourite drink of 25 years , I’ve drove miles and bought up all the old stock of lucozade from the pubs , and now I’ve nothing at all to drink , please give us our drinks back , leave the low sugar stuff for anyone that wants it , but please listen to us loyal customers

User

If I could give a zero rating then I would. All the drinks that I have been able to drink over the years have now been contaminated with nasty sweeteners which make me an ill for days on end. Have a thought for customers who for one reason or another can't tolerate these sweeteners. It's a sugar tax, not a sugar ban so why take away the choice of the general public. Does the poor star rating here on your Facebook page not tell you how unhappy and angry people are with your products now that they have been changed? Do you not care about your customers? Whatever happened to the customer is always right?

User

I've known Ribena over decades my mum gave it to me and I gave to my children ..and then my grandchildren . I was fully aware of the sugar content and was careful with dilution and cleaning teeth . This has nothing to do with you being mindful of sugar consumption but purely because of the sugar tax levied on products like Ribena and you watching your pricing and your place in the soft drinks market

At least be truthful ..

.Artificial sweetners are never a good idea for children or adults, plus they change the taste and simply spoil the product ...

So sadly my family and I will, and I'm sure many others, will wave goodbye to the iconic and much loved Ribena ..

I started drinking Lucozade in 1958 and until now have drunk , on average, approximately two pints per day - EVERY DAY ! That is 21,535 Pints or 2690 odd Gallons - perhaps more! When I lived in Tangiers I even had a weekly delivery shipped in on The Mons Calpe from Gibraltar! Your new offering is VILE and doesnt give me the sugar hit that I need!

User

I notice each and every reply by you says the same thing to anyone who complains about the rancid taste of Lucozade and Ribena. You claim to be working tirelessly and believe you are doing the right thing. You are a bunch of deceitful, greedy, uncaring liars who are more concerned about saving money rather than caring about loyal customers. Isn't the fact that your pages are flooded with complaints enough of a hint for you to change back to the original formula?

User

I nearly scored a 5* because I loved it ... but that was before. Now I hate it. I have just had my last ever glass of Ribena after using up my stash of sweetener-free bottles. For over 40yrs I have drunk Ribena. Surprisingly I am neither obese or have a mouthful of fillings despite it containing sugar, but then I was taught about moderation and dental hygiene. One mouthful of a glass containing sweeteners was the end of an era for me. (Thanks for not clearly stating the recipe had changed by the way!) I have taken my custom elsewhere where I have the choice of drinking a natural drink as opposed to poisonous chemicals which cause me health problems. Ribena was always a healthy choice drink. I do not believe your claims that you are doing the right thing. This is all about saving yourselves money. Nothing separates you from the other cheap drinks anymore. Goodbye to Ribena!

User

I am one of a those people who are unfortunately not able to tolerate artificial sweeteners. I get a very extreme reaction so therefore read the contents of everything. I avoid all products that are 'diet' or 'low sugar' and was aware that the sugar tax was going to increase the price of many products. I was SO disappointed to see that Original Ribena now has artificial sweeteners, why? There are plenty of low sugar options in the range so why change the original. I am more than prepared to pay the extra and accept that choices are limited because of my allergy. This is the end of 48 year relationship.

I am an insulin dependant diabetic who suffers with severe Hypoglycaemic unawareness. I am disgusted to find that what was once a lifesaver is now halved in sugar and pumped with Aspartame. When i have a severe hypo and am not aware of it i rely on a caregiver to administer lucozade. What happens now as not everyone knows lucozade is half the sugar it used to be. I am likely somewhere along to be given half the dose I need. Why oh why after introducing a no sugar version have you done This? Sugar tax I suspect! If LRS hadn't made lucozade so cheap it wouldn't of been drunk to excess by the population. May I ask you this - what thought have you given to diabetics that rely on full sugar lucozade ? Also why have you not very visibly advertised the change on your products? One alternative response has been to chew dextrose sweets, but I do not have any impending warning signs so usually I have gone too far and am not in a state to be able to chew. I am now very worried that my condition is being stripped of a treatment. Also I am disappointed you have added aspartame. I am most worried and upset by what you have done. As are many, many other similar diabetics. What you should have done was to end selling large bottles for 1 pound and packs just as cheaply thus then removing a large chunk of people drinking lucozade to excess and making the government introduce a sugar tax. This is grossly unfair to diabetics. Please may I ask why as a company have you done this to such a large number of your customers? I would very much appreciate a reply off you please in view of the life affecting changes your company has made.

Regards Mr T. Phillips

How dare you call this "Original". It tastes nothing like the original, and does not contain the same ingredients as the original! I've a good mind to report this to trading standards as a flagrant deception. Why can you not, like Coca Cola, give us, your customers the choice to decide what we would rather buy? You could, for example, call one Diet Lucozade, with asparteme, and the other Lucozade Original with all the Original flavour and ingredients. This current version tastes disgusting, and asparteme to many diabetics is dangerous.

Please, please reconsider what you are doing.

User

Hope you realise that somewhere along the line another company is going to successfully clone your drinks.

They will reap the benefits of a niche market.

At present the government will not be satisfied until an entire generation of peoples health is detroyed.

There is no clear evidence that any of these foul tasting sweeteners are safe.

There is no information made available to the public

Hope you feel proud of what you have done

Disgusted that Lucozade and now Orangina now have artificial sweeteners in them. Some of us have bad reactions to sweeteners and vastly prefer the taste of real sugar which, in moderation, is not the enemy. I can no longer share a bottle of Orangina with my grandson as we prefer him to have natural, caffeine free products. Even the makers of My Five finally realised that natural is needed on the market. Poor move.
